North American Vita Compatible PSone Games

Ok im trying to figure this out. I have an older user name that I downloaded some PSone Classics on they are not in the PSN store for the Vita so I have to transfer them through the PS3. Problem is that they are under a nother user name is it possible to put games I already bought paid money for and transfer them to my vita Im having troubles in doing that.

There ain't nothing wrong with the original Mega Man, you wieners. It's a great game.

2 is definitely the best, though.

It's got to all be on the same account your Vita is on. Put that account on your Vita and you can play them.

I'm curious guys... I'm not looking to start any conspiracy theories or the like...

I know FFVII has been 9.99 as long as I can remember... I could have sworn the others were in the 5.99 range... Today all FF are 9.99.... was this always the case and I'm going nuts here? Or did the price change recently?

All of em were 10 bucks. Pretty much every Square game is that price too. I'm looking forward to dropping $20 when Parasite Eve I & II are released on the Vita PSN.

Agreed. Elec Man's stage is one of the best in the series, and the original Yellow Devil fight is one of the best boss battles EVER, PERIOD, in any game.

Does anybody know how do get Einhander onto a US Vita? I guess I need to set up a Javanese account?

Japanese account is the only way.

I've accepted the fact that Einhander will never see the light of day in the US.

As all of my digital PSP games and most of my digital PS1 games are on my US account, these are now on my Vita. It has freed up my PSP to be tied to my Japanese account, which has 12 PS1 games (nearly all shmups not available in the US store).

So I've got Einhander, Raystorm, Thunderforce V, R-Type Delta, Dodonpachi, Gunner's Heaven and a few more on there. I'd *love* for them to live on my Vita, but it's better than nothing.

Well, stuff like Vita PS1 support could give releases a temporary shot in the arm, plus SE has slowly trickled out games, even ones I didn't expect (PE). Still, I wouldn't put it past them to put out Brave Fencer Musashi and the SaGa Frontier games, then go "Missions Accomplished" and never do a damn thing for PS1 games afterwards.

If they would just make account/card swapping less obtuse, I could see myself doing the dual account thing. The jumbling of bubbles when changing cards kills me, I can't believe that is how they have it setup to work, especially when using cards from the same accounts. I have to assume this will be fixed to save settings eventually, about the same time they add folders and increase the page limit.

Once that happens, having a separate card for my J-account will be pretty awesome. I wish the Vita being region-free would just extend to PSN.

Is the loading in Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI as bad as I remember? I kind of want to buy those two and play them with the SNES localizations for the nostalgia, but I can't bring myself to buy them. It seemed like there was about 15 seconds of loading for anything in those games. How bad is it really?

I'm hoping that we see some more PSX games tomorrow, and with that an update to our "stealth" list of PS3 transferables.

What major games are remaining for everyone?

-Chrono Cross
-Crash Bandicoot
-Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back
-Crash Bandicoot: Warped
-Crash Team Racing
-Final Fantasy V
-Future Cop: LAPD
-Spyro the Dragon
-Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage
-Spyro: Year of the Dragon

Now that Tomba apparently works it's really just Legend of Mana I'm waiting on. This went much much better than I expected it would.

I'm realizing I'm in such an odd place when it comes to videogames these days. Most excited to buy a Vita to play PSX/PSP games and a 3DS to play GBA and original Gameboy games. Pritty pri-tty odd state of affairs.

Yeah I hear ya. Im sitting here on my pretty awesome gaming PC with a library of 300+ steam games, my ps3/360, I own almost every Vita game, I have about 50 PSP games.... and right now my go to games are FFVII and Klonoa.

Can I assume you're a child of the 90s? If so:

Haha, I mean I'll be playing Gravity Daze and 3D Land soon enough, it's just weird how I'm amped to play this stuff right now.

Also, who are these 90's children who were playing Tomba and Legend of Mana? Haha you 90's kids get started on PSX at age 6 or something?

I was nine when I got mine with Twisted Metal 2.

Yeah, still waiting on the Crash and Spyro trilogy, pretty much the only games I was looking forward to playing on my vita :(. Is it because of licensing reasons? Because they're up on the EU and JP stores i've heard.

Nah, it's just silly marketing crap or them falling behind on emulation efforts.

Yo, I would eat my Vita and buy another one if Scamco would port the Klonoa remake (I bought it day 1 don't ban me) and Klonoa 2 to Vita.

Legend of Mana and Chrono Cross for me. I looked at my stack of physical PsOne games and noticed my copy of Spryo was missing, so of course now I want to play it.

I'm playing MGS now, and it looks fine stretched. haters. I'm surprised how well this game holds up now, and it works well with the Vita touch pad, except for the few times I accidentally hit it, but where the game pauses, no big deal.

Still pissed you can't disable it as basically the vita is now a chore to hold now when I play it (I curve my fingers around the device when I play)

Anyone else noticing glitches in some of these PSONE games?

I started playing Grandia again but the inventory menus are absolutely non-responsive to directional inputs.

I try switching back and forth between analog and digital control and that helps for that instance... maybe.

With a game like this where you have to hit the inventory/item/status screens so much, this makes it unplayable. It's a 80 hour game when things are perfect. Can't imagine how long it will take this way.

I just hope the emulation gets upgraded over time and all games will get better or is this the best I can expect?

So I figure I should mention that Galaxy Fight and Rapid Angel are both directly downloadable from DL history on Vita now. I don't know when this happened, but it just popped up out of nowhere for me:)

Awesome. Any chance you could try this via copying from a PS3?

So, does the Vitas OLED screen improve FF7 visually in any way? Battle screens always looked good, but the blocky characters and "flat" environments out of battle really showed their age. Any improvements?

I've been playing FFVIII and I think the bilinear filtering helps, not to mention the Vita's pixel density. It'll look a bit crisper than you'd expect, but don't expect anything ground-breaking.

Naaa, I have no PS3 yet, which is why I'm especially happy when I can get things to work off download history.

I purchased them previously through the Media Go app (for PSP), which is my current work-around for things.

I believe that at least Rapid Angel already worked from PS3 transfer, though. Never heard about Galaxy Fight.

Just tested this out... Make sure you aren't accidentally touching the back touchpad area where L2/R2 are. You can't move the cursor if the L2 and R2 buttons are being pressed.

I am really sorry if this has already been discussed to death -- this thread is really long!

If I buy the old RE games and play them on Vita, will the load times be improved?

I want to run back through all the games before RE6, but the load times when transitioning through doors are just really long... makes the games hard to get through last time I tried to play 'em.

If there's an improvement, I'd certainly like to try again.

Probably not. There IS a faster loading option, but it may not have much of an effect and may have bugs, including visual glitches (the FF games) or loading even slower (Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen going by my PSP experience). PS1 games weren't really designed with the potential for faster loading in mind, unlike PSP games seemingly were (and perhaps all post-32-bit games that didn't go out of their way to mask it in special ways?)

Ok. Thank you for this post. I appreciate it. :)

They are really not that long, like at all. I bet you would really love Outbreak.
