RemotePlay still needs a lot of work compared to say... AirPlay.
RemotePlay can only be registered to one PS3 per Vita. I have 2 PS3s and have to repair when I switch them. The pairing process requires you to type a number. Connecting to a PS3 also takes a while, and a few screens. Apple AirPlay is automatic and almost instant. You simply choose an iOS devices from a dropdown list. There is no modal "Please wait" screen at all.
The RemotePlay UI can be confusing. Took me a while to figure out I need to tap on the right border to see a list of "remote" buttons. Those buttons are also not too responsive.
All in all, beyond the raw technologies, Sony need to put in some good effort to make it usable for lay people.
