I'm still trying to decide on color scheme before the next Herman-Miller sale, because I'm definitely buying one of these sonbitches. Thinking about going with grey fabric and black everything else... don't really wanna get super colorful with my computer chair.
But yeah, right now I have some Ikea piece of shit that's insanely uncomfortable. Can barely enjoy playing Torchlight II in that thing.
If I can give you some advice - I'd recommend eschewing the Herman Miller... and instead opt for a height adjustable desk + steelcase leap stool for sitting goodness.
Don't get me wrong... I love my embody... but if I had known about the benefits of standing desks, I would've opted for what I'm suggesting now.
Indeed, when I have a bit of spare cash, that'll be what I'll be upgrading my current setup to.
There have just been too many times where I've thought to myself - would be good to stand for a bit to relieve that tension in my back.
The simple reason is that - the body needs to move - irrespective of how comfortable a single position is, it doesn't stay comfortable for long. While a dynamically adjustable ergonomic chair like the Herman Miller provides some of that benefit, a standing desk with stool option simply provides a larger dynamic range of motion.
You'll want the nice stool for when your feet and legs get tired of course.
