I love Killer Mike's LP and liked El-P's album...neither are produced as well as GKMC neither are as cohesive an album and Kendrick is a better MC than both technically and lyrically.

Absolutely, different feel than this album. More jaz influenced, but it's very very good. If you like this you should love that as well. I do prefer this though. Kendrick is just gifted.

I just got through it and I am not hearing the same music causing such passion in you guys. That's not to judge you, or me, I am just not really feeling anything but Backseat Freestyle and Good Kid and both are based on the beats more than anything. I can appreciate his lyrical abilities but this isn't something I will be coming back to with any frequency. Sorry. I know this is a bit of a hyperbole thread so my "meh" is probably not appreciated. it's not a yelling "meh" - just a regular one.

I can't really even place what it is about it that isn't grabbing me.
