Hi guys, i have a problem with the home screen. In the left i have the screen cut, but only in the left!!! in the option menu where you can change tv options there isn't an option that permits of regulate home screen dimensios. Instead for example in miiverse or shop menù there is the possibility of regulate the screen dimension. I don t know what i have to do. Please help me.

Berlin here. Got home with the console 10:30 AM, unboxed it, set it up and started the Update by 11:55 AM, download was finished 50 minutes later. A little bit of pain, that every of the 3 games I have (Nintendo Land, NSMU Wii U and Zombi U) need updates, but as I can play while they are downloading, it's ok.
Nano Assault download from the eshop was very fast (88 MB).

Finally the console connects to the internet, at least that's what it says. However, I can't get the update going - anyone else with this problem? I get either error 105 4244 or 4400. :/
One time I've seen the update progession bar for a few seconds before it crashed, but now I get errors right after ,,searching for updates'' ugh. Did a reboot a couple of times and I tried updating through internet settings and clicking the Wii mode.
The signal is rather weak where I use the console (though some minor update on Wii worked a couple of days ago), could that be it? There's nothing else yet that could test the Internet connection.

It was on the Home menu by default when I had run the main update but it either updated or downloaded it when I launched it.

So I dunno if it was just an icon or the whole thing pre-installed.

I can't for the life of me get that thing to connect to my wirless internet. Why the fuck can't you get basic online functionality right Nintendo. My smartphone and laptop had no issues. Neither did my PS3.

one last thing before I go back to playing zombiu. I really do love the gamepad, it can't be said enough just how amazing it is. the slow menus will take some getting used to, but that's soon forgotten when you're running through the underground smashing heads with the trusty cricket bat.

The launch update wasn't too bad for me I left it running, watched a episode of Charmed re-run on TV, ate breakfast and before the episode was finished the update was done

And everything is smooth so far too, no lock-ups or anything but to be honest I haven't even played a game yet as I let it download FIFA and I still have to figure out how to place it in my room. Unfortunately the pad doesn't reach my living room though that might be a interference issue as it works perfectly when I raise my arms o.o

So far I only have two gripes with the system, the first being the gamepad having a separate charger (could it maybe have a USB 3.0 adapter in the future? I heard that USB 3.0 can be quite powerful if needed) and the second, after watching a few Youtube videos I can only say "OMG I need a video player!" the thought of watching anime on the pad is dazzling!

Yeah, I should be able to reach at least 2MB/s (20mbps line), but it probably took two hours. I fell asleep while it was updating, and my girlfriend said "It's done, I'm gonna turn it off now" - and I was suddenly awake and I was like "NO, I need to check it!" - I can't remember checking it though. I guess I was happy it was done when I turned it off yesterday, though.

Have you already set up a connection manually? That way I've made it through the connection tests, however I can't get into the update. Equally pissed right now, 350 down the drain if this won't work...

My update took twenty minutes or so for the actual download portion and then a bit more for the install (uk here) - thought I was going to wait as long as some of you guys so I was pleasantly surprised!

The browser curtain thing is such a silly cute touch, can already imagine revealing funny and hideous things to rooms full of people!


For those having connection trouble, connected to their router, go to internet settings > connect to internet and select connections button at top right. Tap the connection you already created earlier and you'll be able to change each setting manually. I had to set DNS to 008.008.008.008 and 008.008.004.004 (Google's DNS) in order to link an NNID.. I don't think Nintendo's name servers for the service have fully propagated to some ISP DNS services yet or something.

So since DHL crewed up my delivery (will probably reach me by Monday, lol) I decided to stroll around the city during lunch break and see if I can get a system. Snatched a premium at the local Saturn flagship store.

They had around 5 premium, 2 basic and 3 Zombi U units still available for pick-up. Certainly far less than what was still available on 3DS launch day at the same store but I don't know how the allocation between the two systems compare. Saw a lot of people checking the system out while I was strolling around, probably because it was placed very prominently at the big Nintendo aisle.

Will set up the system later today. Games should be there by then too (Zombi U, NSMBU and BLOPS II). Can't wait.
