Loving all this match up discussion.

We are going to come to this discussion soon for Marvel once it goes IPL and bigger money is on the line. People aren't discussing it yet but the top players are gravitating towards better characters now.

The whole Rufus meta game reminds me of the Wesker meta game in Marvel. Wesker is a cheap mo fo in the hands of a good player and has won many tournaments in the US but that has waned recently. He has bad match ups against some of the top tier characters and his meta game as of recently is making him look pretty bad. But that doesn't take away from his tools, he can still blow you up and bully many characters below him. It also doesn't help Wesker that there is a better teleport character than him out there just like there are better dive kick characters than Rufus.

This is another good point.

Justin is blessed to even get that far. And after SF25th he said he wanted to get into even more games and spread himself even thinner?

I think Capcom x eSports will result in the opposite. We're gonna see people sticking to their respective games as soon as this becomes a way for people to feed themselves. If it's close enough to being your job, you gotta do what you gotta do to win.

I also think this might be bad for non-Capcom communities as the potential overlap they had may not be as large anymore, and god knows MLG can't sustain the games they have for very long.
