Why not Yun to counter pick Akuma?
I would have to imagine Daigo is thinking about that now. I can understand him using Ryu all the way, he had good momentum going into the GF and I felt a few set of different decisions might have made the match closer in the initial set. But at this point he needs to consider a different option. And I have to think other players are thinking too.
It's not that Akuma is so godlike, it's just that the best player in the world is using him and you need all the advantage you can get in that fight.
MMA Ken would have been awesome, but kinda treading into Abel's turf there.
Infiltration/Poongko kinda make sense given that EG's primarily Starcraft, right? (Korean connection/cross promotion)
lmaoFloe is the Luke Walton of EG.
Why are we talking about SF4 in this thread?

Oh shit, forgot about the rule where we can't talk about any games dominated by Korea. Why are we talking about SF4 in this thread?

Doesn't matter who you pick, you'll still lose to Beef. You're in beef's territory now!
Yipes's wesker is pretty slick
Man his criticisms of himself are pretty far from what I thought watching him play. He was a one-trick pony and when his gameplan wasn't working he's get stuck like a deer in the headlights. There were a lot of times where he'd be completely dominating, then his mixup would get blocked and they'd have a full-life comeback on Tatsu because he didn't know what to do with Xiaoyu in the neutral game.
He had the best gameplan, but it was obvious he wasn't paying as much attention to his basics as coming up with a great strategy.
Cross-posting from the Marvel thread since people who don't read that thread may want to watch:
BT IFC Yipes vs. BT MarlinPie FT10 at the BrokenTier Suite at NECXIII.
EDIT: Seems like they've got so many other sets on their YT. Roachking vs. Viscant (!) and TA Predator vs. AG Demon Hyo.
Changing topic - anyone else miss the old WNF? Back when it was AE and Marvel it seemed to be so much more important. Splitting it to have the Capcom games on separate days seems to have deflated it.
Also, who is getting Injustice on launch? I need me some MK-alike goodness.

I understand Infil, but why Poongko?

Pretty much everything possible went wrong with WNF/TRB.Changing topic - anyone else miss the old WNF? Back when it was AE and Marvel it seemed to be so much more important. Splitting it to have the Capcom games on separate days seems to have deflated it.

Pretty much everything possible went wrong with WNF/TRB.
- Commentators got worse
- Schedule absurdly late starting, not good for East Coast, people on East Coast who even did once tune in lost interest (I realize there is an issue with overlapping with Big Two though0
- Constant switching of games between days made people care less
- Long breaks even without ads, WTF were they thinking
- Competition got staler, less matches began being shown for Marvel at least
- Entertainment value couldn't hold up to Big Two where stuff going on in and around the venue makes you feel like a part of the environment as everything is happening, on top of lacking the personality that the EC has
Pretty much lost all motivation to watch even TRB archives.

Is Injustice anything like MK? From all accounts it sounds more like an ABC "doujin-style" fighter.
Like 90% of the reason for me not watching TRB is the time issue. I'd watch it for Marvel if they didn't start so late. I like games like KOF and all (I mean seriously, look at my username) but I'm not staying up that late to watch it.
I never watch WNF because I find SFIV outside of majors fairly stale atm---same goes for Big Two.
What character does Beef play and what character gets completely fucked up by that character?
I'll play that guy and over come the odds with just 5 (count em) 5 moves.

I play Hawk. Yun and Yang are probably his best matchups at 3.5 each.
Seriously, it's that bad for the twins.
