Man that's some nice cockpit detail :O, toss us some with a more direct light on it.

that shot looks so sharp, you use sharpening in PS or is that some kinda AA?

I am, actually. Using the Warmonger bits (0x00000026). Sadly, I've had no luck finding other bits that both work and also have a more noticeable effect. You forcing AO at all Zyrusticae? Hard to tell sadly. I do not think so.
Are you using any addons to get it looking this good? I actually just bought FSX last month and it looks pretty bad maxed out. I might get REX or something if I can justify it.
Nobody admits to it but there is ridiculous sharpening in a lot of peoples screens, either via lumasharpen or some photo editing.

One of the features of SweetFX.
Thanks. Skydrive's treated me pretty well (I LOVE being able to upload files just by saving them in a Skydrive folder), but you have to remember to make your folders public for your files to be viewed. I tend to forget, as I'm sure the regulars around here have noticed. :/I love all of your shots.
I'm not banned anymore! Also, how's Skydrive? I want something better for albums than Minus.
Hmmm, nope, they're in the Tera\Client\Binaries folder and working just fine for me. How odd.Zyru do you have your Sweetfx files dropped somewhere other than binaries folder? Cause I for the life of me can not get sweetfx to work.
Don't use .bmps!First time. yell at me if i do something wrong.

At least in photoshop, there's a pretty wild difference depending on just the resampling method for resizing. If an image looks sharper just because of a resize, I'd call it shenanigans
It's totally a taste thing if it's being done in SFX (personally, I think any kind of post-processing sharpening just looks like arse) but after/during resizing... no sir, I don't like it.Nobody admits to it but there is ridiculous sharpening in a lot of peoples screens, either via lumasharpen or some photo editing.
How do you feel about resizing for those of us who regularly downsample? I did one or two resizes with Photoshop but found the options seemed like they could be tinkering with it too much, so I just use Paint.NET and use the best quality one to go from 1440p to 1080p, which is how I play it.My point isnt to make rules, it's the simplicity of posting a screenshot without any post processing after the fact that it was captured, where the image quality is misrepresentative of the product you see on your screen in real time. I never said downsampling was bad here, it's just not required like it would be in an artshots thread, read.
If you gotta post process your screenshot after capturing it/before posting it, then you're doing it wrong. Why anything else but pure unfiltered, unadultered PNGs or 100% JPGs are necessary is beyond me and is nearing bullshot territory, and many have bitched and moaned for years in here about people posting bullshots while 'forgoing the mentioning of the unplayable settings'.

Personally, I don't see a problem with that, but if there are other filters coming into play that, like you said, are *after* the screen was capped (ergo, SweetFX etc. sharpening is just fine) then yeah, I don't think it's kosher.
I'm ok with this. Photoshop is fine for downsampling but all these other filtering methods can remove what is essentially what allows the PC gamer eye to see how well aliasing might look for us on our screen, so if it's been all 'filtered' away dishonestly then I'd say it's not fair for those trying to emulate IQ and especially those trying to emulate AA settings, which are a big part of all this thread.
