Every single manga on that list with maybe the exception of Dawn of Arcana (never read it) is bad. Get better taste America

Ron the Death Eater is one that always cracks me up.

While I don't like the character, some fanfiction portrays him as this complete jealous asshole who was only in it for Harry's fame....

But then again....

Thinking about it....

He just so happens to be rescued by a man who is extremely loyal to Dumbledore....

Just so happens to see the Weasley family, who've been to Hogwarts several times, try and learn where Platform 9 3/4 is...

Who he just so happens to have a Weasley his age....

Who tells him that Slytherin are evil..

.

Dumbles manipulated the FUCK out of Harry. Played him like a fiddle in hindsight.

I think that's the point of most of Book 7. Dumbledore was a huge manipulator "for the greater good," but he was very good at hiding that aspect of himself, much like most aspects of himself.

I was under the impression that either

A)He was fucking her on the regular as his sideline ho, but didn't give two shits about her.

or

B)She was psychotically in love with him, but he never returned her feelings and only used her to his own ends.

I believe Rowling said somewhere that she was explicitly in love with him and the idea of him but that he was legitimately asexual and had no real interest in it other than to the extent he could use it to manipulate her.

But HxH 2012 is better...
Okay, I haven't really looked at all of 2012.

But I was watching the end of the Hunter Exam side by side and the 2012 version was awful in comparison. Worse animation with glossy bubbly colors. Just pure shit.

Togashi is a fucking hack that will whore out anything for money.

I wonder if OP manga would sell more if they'd fix the #zolo problem, I know I along with a few of my IRL friends refuse to buy the volumes out of principal.

2012 : Death Note and FMA.
What? Welcome to 6 years ago USA.

I swear to god I don't know who the fuck is buying Death Note anymore. Viz isn't even releasing new editions or anything.

Didn't realize Earl and Fairy will be that popular, first volume wasn't that impressive.

Those polls are sales charts and One Piece fans don't give a shit about Oda's pocketbook and just pirate all his work.

lol

It comes into its own during York Shin. IIRC, the 2012 anime is actually more graphic.

My giant stash of One Piece Volumes says otherwise.

This reminds that the French publisher will do a new translation of the entire series to have the original names. That's crazy.

I mean from personal experience I saw Deathnote for the first time in 2010, and bought all 12/13 volumes in 2011.

Personally I've loved it (the whole story, not just the first book). There are a couple of things that could have been handled better, but I found the characters, the situations they found themselves in and the backdrops to be really interesting. Plus I ended up really liking Ayuko's artstyle.

BatDan

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
IIRC they tried that last time and it didn't work so i dont have much faith in it working this time around.

It's going to be the Funimation dub, and it was removed last time because we were entering the new Cartoon Network CEO and his "put live-action crap on the internet because we want that Nickeodeon audience".

I do wonder who's buying Death Note, makes no sense.

I thought 2011 looks fantastic for Heavens arena, specifically Gon and Gido, Killua and the dude, and Gon Hisoka. Too bad most of the amvs have atrocious musicks. Ah and the Gon v Hisoka duet character song is amazing.

Right, Death Note is probably the title that will catches most people's attention at a bookstore but there is no way it can have legs like this. This must mean there are either crazy number of casual manga fans who only buy Death Note and nothing else, or the actual sales themselves are so bad that a title that moderately catches the mainstream attention will always stick around for a long time.

The premise is really good, but I just feel there have been a lot of missed opportunities. Still, there are 3 more volumes, so the manga can still impress me.

From what I've heard that's most likely the case. Even the best selling titles like SM and Naruto only sell like some thousands during the first week.

I thought Death Note had a rerelease edition recently, perhaps fans have been going back and picking those up in 2012.

Definitely B. I'm not sure his plumbing was even working down there.

Harry Potter isn't very good at all, real talk.

I somewhat disagree on that. The books certainly have their faults but the worldbuilding and characters are second to none.

York Shin has better pacing, better villains, better character involvement, better action, better everything really.

Chimera Ant Arc was too long and the King was random (but badass) as fuck too. Also, no Kurapica or Leorio. Gon retcon with seemingly improper motivations. Kaito stupidity. Etc.

Greed Island was cool. But lol, it ain't the best.

Damn you guys stay wrong.

IIRC It was the funi dub at the time though (i vaguely remember thinking it was way too late for the good one to finally fucking appear), but that whole live action shit could explain why it was eventually pulled.

Are you sure its that low, Sailor Moon v1 had two 50,000 manga volume print runs...with v1 selling out in four weeks...
Here are some offline sale figures from ANN:

Even though no one really knows how strong the online sales are but those are some depressing numbers regardless. Naruto and SM are actually doing quite well all things considered but everything else... not so much.

Black Butler at 4? Honestly had no idea it was that popular. Fangirls going crazy?

The anime was really good though. Wish they'd make a season 3.

Yeah, Black Butler is crazy popular. It and Maximum Ride bankrolls the entire licensing business of Yen Press.

I dont think thats really accurate, as unless Sailor Moon has dropped off intensely, they are like estimating the sales to be super low (only 12K that many weeks out?). Would v1 really have a 100K print run, and then v4 only sell 12k?

Edit:Oh thats a weekly chart.

4Kids really screwed that pooch, if it hadn't been for that god awful dub it would probably be more popular.
No shit, but don't even mention this because there are several people here who are denial in how unpopular One Piece is in America.

Even Naruto/Bleach get pirated more than One Piece.

Yes, it's a weekly chart but it can still give you an idea how bad things are. Even if you quadruple the numbers to get close to the actual ones as someone on the ANN forums suggests, they are still quite low.
