Friend (well best friend's sister) posted a dumb photo on FB stating 'I believe in the biblical definition of marriage' and it infuriated me enough to respond how I also want to go back to the days of marrying many women and cheating on them with my daughters.
I also asked for some citations for this definition and was told I was attacking and how someone should be allowed to have beliefs without being attacked blah blah blah. And I always end up realizing Facebook is a horrible place for these discussions and I can't keep making arguments without looking like I am attacking. Grr people make me so mad.

My problem is your attitude. even if i put you on ignore i will know exactly what your post are even if i can't see it. give you advice. you skip over it. offer help you don't want it. constant excuses over and over of the same shit is annoying as fuck.

I'd agree with this if there weren't government benefits tied to it such as tax breaks, regardless, marriage is not for everyone but it's a nice thing to have.

Maybe when he said he didn't support it he meant that he himself wasn't involved in the struggle to get it legalized, as opposed to that he was against the movement. I can understand the former, since I'm personally not hugely interested in getting married (and I also live in Canada) but I can't agree with the latter at all. Why would you be against it being legalized just because you aren't interested in it?
