"The Ass Nintendo Doesn't Want You To See" (Kotaku)

So he's not your partner? Isn't the player character the one you control? meaning main character?

I guess I should play the game, because this is confusing lol.
Like it's been said, he is a main character/protagonist. But you don't main him; you play as an avatar who is also a main character in the game. You're his partner.

From all accounts it's the second half of the show. I personally was already feeling uneasy by the end of the first episode... not really sure why though. Haven't watched since then.

No, the first half of the show is harem tripe with fan-fiction level writing. It's just that the second half apparently ups the ante with incest and rape themes.

That's what I assumed thou! I said the word partner. That guy's comment confused me.

"Partner" can be a tad misleading in this case because it kind of implies the Avatar gets married to Chrom, which is only one of several outcomes (and only possible if you choose a female Avatar). :p

But yeah that's the gist of it, lol

Oooooooh haha!

Everything women do in the US is sexually suggestive these days. It's our thing to freak out about every little thing women do.

*shrugs shoulders*

Yeah, it's terrible, especially when a lot of the recent articles I've seen are written by men. To me it just seems like another way a man can intervene and take control of a situation, dictating what's tasteful for women in video game and what's not.

I think they blow things way over the top too. I've had this discussion with my girlfriend a couple times, and she thinks this topic is stupid. Women should take pride in their form, not cover it up.

I don't mean to sound too much like the raging male feminists that seem to be sprouting up like weeds. I think if you're a man and want to support women then go ahead, but you're in a support role, i.e. not the one making the argument that something is sexist.

My feelings are the same with abortion. It's the woman's role to decide, the men support the decision, but there is no reason for male bureaucrats to dictate what's acceptable.

Its kinda something you have to roll with now for most major JP franchises. Beach or hot spring episode and so forth.

It's funny how these things get repeated. There is way too much focus on school life too.

I've noticed some things that repeat in Korean TV shows too. e.g The male always grabs the Woman's arm in passion, HUGE coincidences everywhere, male lead is often awkwardly mysterious which leads to confusing behavior and situations, stalking is OK, love triangles galore etc

The other way around. He is the main character and the center of the story and you are/become his friend. Your are still pretty important to the story though, more than most characters.

Because 95% of the portrayals of females in gaming is done by women... Using your logic there would be no women in games cause there are nearly no women in the industry.

Yeah I get it now, it's an interesting change of perspective.

Agreed.

Chrom better not be censored

@_@

Chrom has no ass :(

Just because the majority of female designs are done by men, doesn't mean they should be critiqued by men.

I do not care for pandering of either gender or fanservice in general, and since sexism and sex in-general is made out to be the number one goal everyone seems to praise and strive for, if you don't seem to care for it a lot of times it's made out to be like there must be something inherently wrong with you. I don't identify as a feminist being a woman myself, but I also don't think designing characters that are specifically made to flaunt themselves as objects of lusts in all forms of media really is necessary to get people to notice your creativity for more than just eyecandy. Criticism of it is perfectly reasonable, not everyone puts such a prestige over sex.

I hear alot of horror stories about this, but I don't have a Vita. Perhaps I should count my blessings...

Eh.. it's a small blemish on an otherwise awesome game and you can skip it.

Plus it only unlocks when you complete the extra dungeon, if you don't unlock that, no extra scene.

It's a bit more suggestive with the cape-er, curtain, but I had no intention of buying this anyway.

I'm really enjoying the game, but it's my first FE, and I'm more sensitive to the suffering of long term fans now after what Tomb Raider did to me.

Nice.

I might try it just because it's really popular now, but all I hear is people talking shit about it. So I'd have to see. I'm very tolerable though as long as a show's not boring.
I honestly think there are some nice ideas and nice moments in it, but I did stop half way.

Anyway I have seen shows/movies people go crazy over and thought "meh"
I have also seen things that some people say is shit, but I really enjoyed.

The eye of the beholder.

Pretty dumb to censor this. Figures NoA would do this though.

I really enjoyed SAO... the light novel that is. Not the best story because things just always seem to magically work out, but it was still good. The anime, I can't even finish. So I'm kinda sad the series gets a lot of hate because of it.

I remember being excited for the announcement of the anime, but the anime was just so boring or rushed.

I don't know why they censored it since this same pic is all over the internet. I saw it here on NeoGAF well before the DLC was even released. Can't even understand what they were trying to accomplish, considering what they have Zero Suit Samus wearing these days.
