Woo! Finally got through Saints Row the Third for the platinum and all the subsequent trophies.

My PS3 died about halfway through and I had to start from scratch. How annoying.

It has given me a new lease to get through games that I haven't finished yet, though.

I resumed Sacred 2 and if anyone still has an (in)complete armor set for a Seraphim, I'd totally appreciate it.

Slowly plodding through Lollipop chainsaw.

I finished it once already.

It was shitty.
Don't think i can stomach 2 more playthroughs.

Felt the same about Shadows of the damned when i played that too to be honest.

Might go for platinum but at the moment i just dont like it.

Alright I farmed 100 ability kills on a new character on Amalur. Got the trophy now even though it looks unlegit as fuck. This game is going on the backburner for now. Managed to get 50% of the trophies, will complete maybe next month when the rage has cooled down lol.

Started up Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen for about 60 minutes as a replacement, and I can already tell it will be a better game than Amalur. My RPG boner has been tingled, a shame I haven't played this game sooner. When the fatigue kicks in I switch back to Ni No Kuni for a while before returning to this.

Good slow burn on PS3 this month with some Vita stuff thrown in between. Not bad to get through the summer I think.

Dark Arisen is insanely good. It really is sad more people didn't play it. The trophy list is super easy as well. Enjoy the agony of customizing your char/vocations.

I am interested in your newsletter and would like to subscribe.

Edit: Holy cow. I've had a PS3 since launch and some of the people on the list on the first page got more points last month than my lifetime total.

Well, I'm back

A GAF Away-cation does wonders for a Trophy Stay-cation!...

While I was away:

Platinum #145
Guacamelee!
What a blast this game was, so much charm/fun to play though. That Tree Tops... wow you had to use every Platforming trick in the book, I even figured out a cheating way to beat the buzz-saws, I kept doing jump and vanish, was better just flying from from one to other in rapid succession

Platinum # 146
HEAVY FIRE SHATTERED SPEAR
Got this hella cheap ($5), I beat the first, so had to continue my on rails Semper Fi/Hoorah bloodbath
PS3 froze on me =/, glitch in the game that you have to do both play-throughs in one sitting due to "Radios" not counting if you quit the game

Platinum #147
Spec Ops: The Line
What a crazy ride this game was. Suicidal difficulty was not tough as shit, but was frustrating in the sense, that you needed patience and pick shots while being aggressive to keep the enemies at bay
I did get caught in two areas that became a bane of existence scenario, took a break, 2 times after that smoked through the areas, sometime brute forcing doesn't work, just a 1-2 hour cooldown

Platinum #148
Hitman: Absolution
Never played a Hitman game before, it was my first entry into it. Was an enjoyable ride. I mostly sneaked than be a run/gun player, I took my time, some of the ways you can beat the mission were awesome
I remember being silent as fuck on killing a target, then replayed for shits n giggles, threw a bomb and just ran lol, still netted me good points
I didn't know there were 2 more options, an "accidental" collapse of building material on top of the target or poison his food
Fucking amazing!, might look into the HD Trilogy down the road

PSN 100%:
Thomas Was Alone - Quiet little fun game, some puzzles were really outstanding. I did it in one sitting, roughly 3+ hours

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon - Right now this is GOTY material. Oh lawd!, the nostalgia ; ;
I'm a child of the '80's, this was fucking home for me
So many Easter Eggs, the dialogue, the wink wink moments, fucking ridiculous
Wish this was an episodic series, give me a game like this every gaming quarter and I'll pay good money

Also I'm in the Top 100 US and Top 400 worldwide overall

Well, I finally got that MGS3 Platinum (take that GRX! :p). It turns out I had killed somebody during the chase, but I'll never know who or when... I bought MGS4, but I also have The Unfinished Swan in the wings, so I might take a break from sneaking on Very Easy.

Nah, I was just referring to my own miserable update showing up right underneath your huge post :) I actually appreciate your input in this thread! I guess I need to work on my foreign-language irony...

Oh light jab

Sorry was banned for 2 weeks, wasn't really on here, thought you must have mentioned me in the other thread or I missed something, lol

Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon looks like it's going to be a nice playthrough for trophies, nothing too hard.

Also got The Unfinished Swan and Beyond Good and Evil HD when they were on sale :D

No work needed at all, it was fine.

Platinum #126 - Tekken Tag Tournament 2
Easy platinum, much like the other last two games, some parts just take a lot of grinding. I was really loving this game up until the online part, where I was absolute garbage. The problem with Tekken is that the AI plays completely differently to actual players, so if you haven't played the series for years (and I haven't), playing against the AI is horribly bad prep for that. And it didn't help that most of the people online were people with hundreds of fights to their names.

I've also just finished the main story in Dragon's Dogma. The next couple of days should be spent doing all the post-game quests and fights and then I'll try and speed run my way through NG+.

I'm wondering if anyone here has considered making a NeoGAF MetaGamerScore crew yet?

http://metagamerscore.com/

In a nutshell (since searching for "MetaGamerScore" on GAF brought up absolutely nothing), MetaGamerScore is a ranking site similar to TrueAchievements (where achievements are scored depending their rarity), but supporting Xbox Live, PSN, Steam, Battle.net and Kongregate all at once to produce a single unified score. As an example here's my profile.

Looks great! I'll add it to the OP later.

With eight users so far (including me being in), our GAF crew on its first day is currently number 10 on the current MetaGamerScore crew ranking. Groovy.

It's not fair with all of you people and your cross platform achievements. I had to add my WoW char (only 1 of 3) and I'm still in last place. =/

Wow, I only scored 600 points in the whole of month of April for the PS3. Well, I have to step up my game for this month. I'm looking to platinum four or five games in the month of May, while hopefully putting a dent into my PS2/GC backlog as well.

Platinum #149
Wonderbook: Book of Spells
My baby niece was over, she got a kick out of it. Couldn't stop spraying the TV with virtual water, sat and watched me play. Such a killer kids app lol.
Got the Plat in 2 hours 18 minutes, if you really try for it can Plat under 2 hours, had to go take a piss + water drink break, so that added a few minutes

Now to Platinum Bioshock Infinite for #150!

Platinum #68 today with Lego Batman 2 on Vita. I'm now tied with my 2010 total for the most platinums in a year (17) and were not half way done yet. :)

I've joined metagamerscore and the GAF group too. Looks clean and simple and I love stats so it was a no brainer!

Joined Meta also, lets see if I help us push up!

Joined up as well.

Whoa, I'm a slowpoke for this but just checked PSNprofiles and Farming Simulator port on the PS3?
I know what plat I'm getting next!
Edit: Welp I didn't notice it was only for the Vita. ;_;

We're doing MetaGamerScore now? I guess I'll join, even though you guys won't be my primary...

About their scanning? It took them a week to fully scan all the random crap I had on my 360 profile. Another side note: since it's somewhat unpopulated compared to many other sites, it's going to have wildly odd behaviours for games that are niche.

I was going for the challenges on Axton but ended up finding Jenkins when I was playing Salvador working on the gunzerker achievement so I figured it would be easier just to do the rest of the challenges with Salvador.

But I found him in Opportunity in one of the chests shown in the video in the 2nd post here:
http://www.trueachievements.com/a167551/challenge-accepted-achievement.htm?showguides=1

There is also another post there that says you can find him pretty easy in the Wildlife preserve if you have a certain quest active, I didn't try that so not sure if it works or not.

The trophy still pops, even if I use another character which isn't as far with this trophy?

I think challenges reset for new characters (I think), you share the Badass Rank points + all the % off the abilities
I think you have get level 1 challenges done all on one character (once again I think)

Took me a fucking month to find that asshole

Had to ask for help in the BL2 Forums and luckily a guy had it setup @ a certain spot where he popped most of the time
Luckily I got it and the Platinum, so fucking stupid to add in such a random/luck bullshit provision

Blimey im top! Must be when i was just Xbox only. had about 60000 gamerscore when i seen the PS3 Goodnees and went PS exclusive.

Well Sine Moras trophy requirements are nothing short of sadistic.
at 15% at the moment. Anyone could get that
Doubt it will get much higher. lol

Gonna be the first game since black ops 2 i doubt ill bother going for 100% on.
Trophy list OCD am cry

Is fun though so will get the most out of it. Art style is gorgeous

Platinum #127 - Dragon's Dogma
It took me about two weeks but I finally got it done. Awesome game. Easily the best thing Capcom's done this entire generation. Combat is so much fun, especially when you're in a long gruelling boss battle.

I'm going to take a break from the game before bothering with the new area Dark Arisen added but I do want to do it at one point. And I'm really looking forward to the sequel (which is what I assume Deep Down is).

No clue what I'm going to play now. I want to platinum New Little King's Story but playing through the entire game again just to get that one trophy is painful. I also want to start up a JRPG and since Tales of Graces F has been on my shelf the longest, I guess that'll be the first choice.

Platinum #40 - The Walking Dead

I want to play this again. Great game. Awesome story.

Alright, Dead Space 3 is next. Dead Space 3 is next. Dammit, Dead Space 3 is next!

Platinum #57: Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Superb fighting game, much better han 6.

Currently I'm playing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. I'm enjoying it so far.

Graces F is an easy plat. took me 110 hours though. Awesome battle system kept it interesting more than anything else though.

Good to hear. I've had it on my shelf ever since it came out (US import too, so I even longer than the PAL release) but JRPGs require so much time investment that I just haven't gotten around to it.

But it turns out my Deadly Premonition import arrived much earlier than I expected, so Graces F will have to wait another week or so.
