I was just thinking about the possibilities of the new kinect.
Now, i've never used a Kinect before, but if what i'm hearing about the new one is correct, it basically trounces the old one.
Now, I don't really care for it during a race. Traditional wheel and controller is just fine.
But what about in the upgrades/customization/tuning department?
A sort of interactive garage of sorts?
What if we can use kinect to actually paint our cars?
Kind of like a virtual spray booth using motion to simulate a spray gun.
How about using kinect to choose and apply decals and vinyls?
Grab a decal from the option list, then proceed to move around the car and applying it at any place you like.
Same thing with wheels. Navigate through the option list. Pick the set of wheels you want, move up to the car and install wheels.
The same can also be done to body kits.
Using kinect for upgrading performance parts?
The ability to open hoods and apply engine mods?
Grab the part you want, lets say an intake, and proceed to install on engine.
After all this, proceed to the dyno. Again, using Kinect, test and tune your car.
If there's anything that would get me excited for Kinect it would be this.
Obviously, the traditional controller input would still be available for those who don't care for the interactivity.
