Possibly... but I was just looking at this:

The side of the road all of a sudden goes into that horizon/perspective mode and the buildings overlapping each other just look flat and weird.

I could well be seeing things and that might be a perfectly fine way of drawing them, but they just look strangely off to me, like they've been faked similar to FM4's Autovista (as I mentioned earlier).

now that forza seems to do cities, now you can have all those billboards at a resolution that you can actually read them,
now that there is a possibility of a decent times square at night, one of the most spectacular neon highlights of the world, now you want it out?

I always wanted New York out. I HATED that circuit in every fashion. I couldn't have cared less about the low resolution/5fps billboards and everything else....the layout was boring and just god-awful. DO NOT WANT

Stop being obtuse. Only a few people actually thought it was CG. Many didn't find it that impressive, and others thought it looked great. You guys are trying way too hard. I'd argue that more people thought the DeepDown and Killzone Shadow Fall demo were CG.

There's no need for day/night on every track, just those that host endurance races and maybe one or two of the Forza circuits. Now weather, basically rain, could be on all but again maybe just real world circuits?
Some night racing would be nice though. Imagine Forza 5 cockpits all lit up in a night race. Glowy!!!

I re-ordered FM2 a few weeks ago but it didn't turn up, but did bag FM2 and FM3 for a combined total of £2.20. Looking forward to playing some of the missing tracks again.
 
It's obviously in-engine. But I doubt it's in-game.

It would be a massive waste of resources to render that lavel of detail when you can't even get close enough to see it.
 
Here are few things I would also love them to address:

- option to be able to run more than 2-3 laps against AI in Free Race mode without having Gold subscription (read as: give us option to determine race-length/no. of laps in the Free Race mode)

- option to export photos directly on the USB stick

- to obtain prize-cars in non-tuned state instead of max-class-tuned as in FM4 (I still can't understand who thought it was a good idea)

- to actually get more percentage-bonus when I decide to race against "factory spec" (non tuned) AI grid, instead of tuned grid being one giving more percentage-bonus (because then I can also tune my car and it is much easier to win)

- to stop crazy policy spreading since FM3 (or was it FM2 too?) where I have to purchase DLC cars with in-game currency once actually purchased from Marketplace in order to have them. Come on, whose crazy idea was that? When I buy DLC, give me one car directly in garage, and if I want more of the same DLC car, then I have to buy it with Credits

- all things I've mentioned before as well

While the D112 is primarily used to record bass-heavy sounds such as a kickdrum, in this situation it seems somewhat wasted due to the placement and polar pattern of the mic, I'm sure something like a Shure SM57 would have been a much better choice ...

Can anyone tell what mics are in the background? ... they look a little like AKG Perception's ...
 
No weather effects and no day/night cycle will be really disapointing...

Thats the problem with forza... new game every 2 years but always with dry track and only that.

They don't have excuses for weather effects this time...
 
Man I really hope they bump up the smoke effects with this, its been really disappointing in the past games. I know its a small thing but still.

Tokyo was real good. I remember I tried a no stop stratergy in the b class (?) enduro but ran out of fuel on the last lap :'(

I need to find my FM1 and run some laps around those FM1 tracks.

FML... Pal 50 game won't work through my VGA set up :'(
 
Just thinking about what Turn 10 achieved with 512MB or RAM and now being turned loose with 5GB of RAM. And higher capacity storage media. More power GPU.

The game is going to look sick. I'm assuming the awesome gameplay will remain the same.

I'm curious how they'll use the rumble triggers and much better the Kinect integration will be.

Nup, you need HDMI or component, my friend. Worth it, though. You need to find yourself a copy of Quantum Redshift, that game is stellar on B/C. PGR2 runs pretty well with it too :)

It was. Doesn't mean anything. T10 and Phil Spencer said repeatedly that this was in-game footage running on a dev kit.

Less than 2 weeks until we can see this being demo'ed on stage...

Rumble triggers seem like they'd be a perfect match for racing games (lockup/wheelspin).
