They don't get damaged, but without TRIM support by the OS they get slower at writing over time. Newer SSD controllers have garbage collection to counter that, but full TRIM support is still beneficial.

Yes, TRIM it was. Would be nice if they built that function in. To be 'future ready'.

I'm in the vast minority here... but for me it's all about the first party offerings, and with sony i'm more than covered with that.

I would expect something like TRIM to be implemented if not at launch, then at least some time later. But who knows, really hard to speculate on this.

Kojima was in the Wii U announcement video too. Dude will show up anywhere if they ask him to - doesn't mean he's going to make an exclusive for it.
