I was hoping he would, he deserves it after the year he had.
Brodeur deserves it after a great 2 decades.
The announcement video showed a brief first-person goalie view through the mask. It looked kind of cool.
Oculus Rift support come on.
I find it hard to believe that he received more votes then Leaf, Hab, Pens, Det players etc.
This shouldn't be a surprise to you.
If they wanted a younger player on the cover, they would have rigged the voting for a younger player.
And don't forget the Brandon Yip campaign.

Not sure I understand why EA would rig it so that a guy who is likely going to play his last year in the league wins over a young guy like a John Tavares. I guess that's just me.

That's my thinking too, especially since most of the kids who buy the game don't even remember watching Brodeur play.
My last hockey game was ESPN NHL in the PS2 way back in 2003. I liked that cover.
The NHL is trying to market New Jersey, its their new Phoenix.
No surprise that that they announce it a day before the draft which is being held in New Jersey as well.

It's probably a misguided attempt at a "tribute" in what is most likely his last NHL season.
Bobby Ryan and a 1st for Letang. Ryan will play for under 5 million and like it.

I don't think Pens fans ever gloat about their defensive pairings.
Considering they only scored 2 goals in 4 games, you may be right! Funny how defense and goaltending weren't what did the Pens in this season...it was an inability to score.

He's definitely due for a raise. Don't see the Pens offering him more than 3-4 million, though. He may be gone.
