Get used to it. It's kinda like Luffy's second power.Okay, the constant screaming in OP is starting to get on my nerves

Doesn't it have more chapters than One Piece though? I'd never be done!
Yea, about 800. That said it's a fairly quick read as most cases are only 3 chapters long.
It's not even as long as 1000+ Ippo... Another series I plan to read/watch *sigh*

Ya'll are making me swoon with your Detective Conan love. Unfortunately, it's kind of a hard sell. It's a very adult story with a very (at times) childish veneer. The early episodes are very old now ('96 for those counting) and Funimation stopped localizing after episode 130. They've also made it pretty emphatically clear they're not going back to Case Closed any time soon. You know what show I would love to see on Toonami or maybe back on Adult Swim?
Detective Conan. Used to set my alarm to 3am to watch it on Adult Swim I liked it so much.
Well if you just skipped the TV Original episodes you'd have about 266 less episodes to watch. Kind of hard to slim down an episode that's filled with important clues and suspects without making it redundant. There should be a Detective Conan Kai.
really? I actually really loved canon back in the day, but I was always frustrated that he never revealed himself to his gfThe crazy thing is that they stopped dubbing episodes right before it actually starts to get good. So if you think it was good from what you saw you have no idea man.
More people die in one 13 episode run of Case Closed than have died in all of Bleach.

If you take into account that each episode or, more commonly, a grouping of one to three episodes takes less than a day, then it's only been less than two yearsAt this rate Jimmy will turn back to normal by aging regularly. Hehehe.
No way, man. That's some DBZ time if I've ever seen it.If you take into account that each episode or, more commonly, a grouping of one to three episodes takes less than a day, then it's only been less than two years. The part people have a hard time swallowing is how they get into so many murder situations.

All this being said, PLEASE PUT IT ON TOONAMI.
Anyone else in here up to episode 706 with me? =)
The problem is each episode is structured in a way that if you were to cut and divide it it would ruin the pacing of the story. A 30-minute one off episode will introduce the premise, the scene, suspects, police and will be sprinkled with clues. There's no real fat to trim and you'd only be ending up with a short, but useless story. It's not put together like a typical Shonen that stretches itself for time.Well, a cut down version would make it easy to watch those non TV original eps without having to resort to a guide. Thus easier for Funi to dub, as well.
Yep =(. The problem is in Japan it's a family show that's accessible for any age group. Here (at least in the states) we generally don't have the hijinks of a bunch of grade schoolers interlocked with serial murderers.I'm with you man. Do a redubbing if you need it, but its definitely something we could have fun with. Even the main cast makes fun of all the murder cases they get into. It's a shame it'll never take off.

watching episode 5 of majestic prince, holy shit im dying, this show is hilarious, it needs to be on toonami.

I'm not saying cut down the canon episodes, just cut out the non-manga ones.

Instead of nothing happening in American comics, all the things that do happen are simply robbed of all meaning due to their inevitable retconning.
I sensed Conan loving going on, and came right away.
It's easy enough to do that, anyway by just skipping over those episodes.
Although I would like to see a redone Conan someday that in addition to cutting out all the AO episodes also restored the manga versions of the Train Bombing case (which would eliminate a huge plot hole from the early anime episodes) and Akemi Miyano case.
Someone over on a Conan forum had gone through the manga to come up with a timeline, and found about five years passing based on the minimum number of days required (and that's actually a couple of years out of date now). Best to just ignore the passing of time with Conan, except in the most general of terms.
You're one of the only people ive seen who's found the show legit funny. Glad to see you're enjoying it.
You know, that is kind of interesting how manga is tied so innately to its author but comics can switch creative teams on a dime.
I wonder if it's something that comes about as a result of mangaka often being artists as well as writers, or it's just due to ownership rights or whatever.
episode 8 was fantastic, just nonstop mecha action and good strategizing, loved it, love space battles.
Glad to see your enjoying mjp, a lot of anime gaf bailed after a few episode because by comparison it looked a lot worse when compared to the springs other two mech series valvrave and Gargantia.
i'm imagining how some manga series would have progressed if they had multiple writers.
Do you have this on hand? As redundant as it may or may not be, It would still be interesting to look at.Someone over on a Conan forum had gone through the manga to come up with a timeline, and found about five years passing based on the minimum number of days required (and that's actually a couple of years out of date now). gargantia is pretty cool, but its def not the mecha anime you want to watch if your looking for some good mecha battles, how was valvrave?
Valvrave is like code geass on steroids. Every episode ends on a crazy WTF twist. I liked it a lot better then mjp and can't wait for season 2 this fall
code geass is already on steroids so that show must be crazy.
Let me put it this way after the main character climbs into the giant mech and destroys all the bad guys in the first episode/first fight, he climbs down from the cock pit andbut that isn't the final twist of the episode.is shot to death by the other lead character
Manga already has some pretty weird twists and turns. I imagine they'd be a complete clusterfuck that no one would be able to comprehend.i'm imagining how some manga series would have progressed if they had multiple writers.
holy fuck.
Well you just sold me on valvrave

Man episodes 22 and 23 of Majestic Prince have been pure mecha porn in the most glorious fashion. This series really needs to get dubbed and put on toonami.
