If the "average consumer" notices anything it will be that the vita is lighter, thinner, has a better battery life, and comes in several colors.
Well then... some of the photos taken make it look terribad.... yet even some photos taken of the oled made that look bad. This video makes the new screen look amazing. I doubt people will notice much of a difference if they are not held side by side.

Guys, I was wondering, since the New Vita has 1GB of internal storage, do you think the "Restore the PS Vita System" trick to access different PSN Accounts will still work?

this is awful looking, the original stand is way better. and it look like they removed the headphone port from the new stand and that make it really useless.
The precedent Sony has set regarding this.
Do mind that although I actually hope I'm wrong and we get a good screen, I don't see S-LCD3/Triluminos happening at all.

You should hurry up then. The Crystal White has been discontinued in Japan for some time now. The remaining colors are Crystal Black, Crimson Red and Sapphire Blue.

Should I just grab the Walking Dead bundle? Anyone know of any better deals coming later this year?
Look around because some bundles are really cheap. I remember seeing that Playstation Plus bundle that comes with an 8GB card for less than $200.

I'd also like them to be fully colored. I rarely play games outside so the colored systems are for myself... Kind of loses the purpose if I only see the difference when when turning it around.

Wish it was more of a deeper red, which would look awesome. Not a fan of pink.
From the new models, I like the khaki one the most although I would like to have a more colorful device. It's just that I don't like the pastel colors.

Agreed, I think is is the best combo of colors. The White and Black look great too. The Lime green and Pink are a little too crazy for me.

Wat? The only thing I notice is better start and select buttons. And that ugly screen box thing.
I'd be all over the design if it wasn't for that ugly screen bezel. The single glass sheet thing the OG Vita has is just too good to get rid of.
Thinner model, rounded edges, rid of that awful silver border.

Looks gorgeous. I'd pick up a second one just for the sleek design. From the Joystiq footage, the screen looks just as crisp...but obviously more in-depth side by sides will need to be done. I still think it's a fair trade-off, for size, weight, cost, and battery life. (I'm not suggesting the OLED has anything to do with those changes, other than battery / cost)
Currently, the Vita is around $270 AUD, and $198 for pre-owned. I'm curious to see how cheaper the slim will be.

Sony did the same thing with the PSP-2000. The OG PSP had a single glass sheet too. But with the PSP revisions it was less obvious. With the PSV-2000, it's looks like a removable display, which is rather ugly imo.

What's better between the OLED and the LED screen? I don't know so I am asking how it effects the Vita.
OLED screen life is like 2 years...so for me LCD is good and bright. Also Dat blue vita. Matte to boot. Not that shiny finger print magnet.
