So for those that were waiting for DJMAX TECHNIKA Q to leave Korea, some bad news: Planetboom, the game's developer, apparently reported via Twitter that everyone involved in the franchise is leaving Neowiz, effectively rendering DJMAX as a whole dead in the water.

im screaming

...what the hell?

I checked the google translate and it says the support for the game will not be abandoned, as anyone else who have left will continue to do it. Neowiz owns the franchise and probably has rights to all the song. The patterns are there from other releases. I think it's down to neowiz to release it in the west? Fingers crossed, but also so sad about the franchise. Had some great memories with it on PSP.

I'm about 2 hours in, but Oceanhorn feels a little shallow so far tbh. Fun as it goes, but it's not doing much for me apart from occupying my thumbs. The sailing is especially crappy, that was one of my favourite parts in Windwaker, now it's just a glorified loading screen.

Rayman Fiesta OTOH is bloody brilliant. So much content! And I love the hard versions of the levels, they're devious.

Oceanhorn is quite good, I'm about 2.5hours in, having just killed the first dungeon boss and gotten the bow. While the complexity of the gameplay doesn't quite reach handheld Zeldas (yet) I really like what they have got so far. Sailing seems a little underutilized as Jedeye said but otherwise it's all good so far. Overall I haven't felt that "eww this is a cash-in clone" feeling I tend to get with all Gameloft games at one point or another, and that's very surprising to me. Cornfox & Co, you did good!

Oh boy, Farming Simulator 14 is out, and it has online multiplayer. Heel?

King's League - After playing about an hour all I can say is I was bored. It seems to be like a monster training game but you are training people instead. You recruit different classes and then have these tournaments every few weeks (in game). The days are constantly ticking by on the screen and in between tournaments you can train stats by doing activities (it's just a bar that fills up, no minigames here at least so far). You can upgrade classes and go on sidequests that net you money. You upgrade facilities in towns that give you benefits. All of the battling is is on a 2D plane with your guys on the left and the enemy on the right. They run at each other and try to kill one another. It's all auto-pilot so you just watch it. Sidequests so far have all been exactly this too - just 1 screen and you kill some enemies. Anyways, I guess if you like this kind of game you might get into it but I found it grindy and boring personally. NOT recommended

I loved it, but finished it in 3 hours on normal.

How are iNiS's iOS games? I'm specifically interested in Demon's Score and Eden to Green.

I was a gigantic fan of some of their previous games (Ouendan, Elite Beat Agents, Gitarooman) and I was always surprised that they didn't make more of a splash when they moved over to mobile.

I haven't heard of Eden to Green, but if you're checking out Demons' Score, you are better off buying it from JP iTunes (or on Android) to avoid the IAP gouging unique to the iOS International version.

Eh, it's $27 for everything in the US store. As an active 3DS gamer, this amount of money isn't shocking to me if the game is full featured.

Have you played it? Can you vouch for the quality of the game? I would gladly pay $27 for a full Ouendan successor on iPad.

Unless it's changed since I last looked into it, it's closer to $50 for everything - JP pricing is half that.

I like the game but the IAP stuff stopped me cold. I have the JP version on my iPad now but I never worked up the interest to run through it.

I live-streamed some gameplay from the International version the night it came out. You can check out the recording if you like.

I just went through the list in the app store and the total is $27. I don't know if that's different than it used to be. When I tried to google this in general it seems that 90% of what has been written about it online has been complaints about the pricing model. Someone really botched this release.

Thanks for the link. I'll check that out after work.

If the JP version is still ¥1500 that equates to about $15 dollars.

Might check out the JP version at some point, didn't realize it was by inis.

If anyone needs Japanese iTunes cards I can pick them up for you! I just request payment via PayPal, no extra fees or anything though.

Also, Rayman doesn't support cloud saves, right?

Oceanhorn is extremely polished, though some of the writing is a little generic.

Definitely "Zelda Lite" so far, but it controls great, looks good, and fills a spot where iOS has really needed more options. Enjoying it so far.

Played another 5 hours of Oceanhorm and it got even better, which is amaaaazing. @35% completion atm.

So many old gems in the appstore, discovered Highborn, a turnbased strategy game made by ex-workers of Westwood Studios if I understand it correctly.

Great and deep gameplay, 3D battles, and funny dialogue.

Peggle HD got an update but it talks about being updated for iPhone. I thought they were separate purchases (Peggle and Peggle HD). Strange.

The must have just copied over the patch notes from the non-HD version. I'm seeing the update now on my phone.

On a similar note, I hope we don't have to wait too long for Peggle 2, and that it's the same 'full' version as on Xbox One. I feel more hopeful for the former than the later.

I just can't help myself, spent so much money on the Appstore since I got my iPhone, jeez!

But, another recommendation from me, Tower Dwellers

Game Features:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++
• Craft Units from each tower to build a strategic army
• Command your units in Real Time and assist them in battle with your magic spells
• Non-linear progression - decide which territory to conquer next based on the upgrades it unlocks
• Complete the hilariously narrated tale to regain a land once lost
• Perfect your strategy by staging battles in the encyclopedia sandbox mode
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++
We are proud to announce that the game is a Full Premium Game with no IAP
The price point is US $3.99/ UK £2.49 / EU 3,79 €
Also we have packaged the HD experience into the same app so you can play one copy on iPhone as well as iPad!

I've played a lot of Super Hexagon lately and I love it, but it's starting to wear thin. Can you reccomend any similar games to it? Preferably hard games that you can restart quickly when you fail.

Odd question:

I just went to a casino this weekend and kind of have a hankering to play some virtual gambling games (obviously ones where I'm betting virtual currency.) I'm not really a gambler, so I basically just stick to Blackjack, Poker, and Roulette (although I'd like to learn how to play Craps as well).

Knowing that the App Store is kind of a cesspool in general and coupling that with people trying to prey on gamblers with shitty apps, does anyone have any good casino game recommendations? I don't mind paying for an app if it's more comprehensive, either.

Note: I'm not looking for "casinoesque" games like King Cashing or anything, I'm looking for games that I could potentially learn actually gambling tips and tricks from.

Thanks!

I'm replaying Sorcery! Part 1 before I delve into Part 2. I took an entirely different route this time, and I got stuck at Daddu-Ley, which is south-east on the map. Tried everything I could think of for half and hour and couldn't get out.
I fell off the cliff, used the feather weight spell and landed safely. I entered one of the caves, exited at the beach, and talked to a strange lady with golden hair who was busy weaving. She gave me a strand of her hair and said it would help me escape. But when I try to escape, the stars do not offer any recognizable spell. And no spell in my spell book uses a golden hair. Every time I try to cast an unknown spell, I fail and the tide rises and I drown. HELP!

I know I can just rewind and take a different path, but I wanna see how this route ends.

I would like to know this as well, because I'm in the very same situation.
Already completed the game taking (several different) northern routes...but regarding the south one (the first I tried!!!) I am exactly in your situation.
It's not that you can go there with other objects too, because going south there aren't any other branches.

One thing I have noticed (maybe due to a bug) is that in other situations I was able to press some letters even when NOT light up...but I didn't had the time to check back since I discovered that.

I emailed the dev and got this reply:

Hi!

I’m afraid you haven’t found the correct letters yet! You’ll have to rewind and try to find different ones (although, 2 out of 3 of the ones you found are correct).

Rest assured though, this is one of the most difficult parts in Sorcery! Part 1 :-)

All the best,
Joe, and the team at inkle

So I'm guessing the star alignment changes depending on which clues you find on your way to the shore. Time to hunt for more clues :)
