since it /had/ seemed a bit more stable I started up the single player campaign again. over a couple of sessions made it back to and finished chapter 5. went back to multiplayer, crashed and all single player progress, preferences and vehicle loadouts lost... AGAIN.

What a fucking joke EA... Thanks DICE.

Even with the lack of a party system PS4 GAF still manages to get together and form a couple of squads and play together. But it inevitably ends with each of crashing, one by one, and then unable to rejoin because the server is full. If by chance we do join it's almost always on the other team.

I'd love to get premium but I can't justify it or reward EA with my money. Which is sad because when it works it's a great game.

If they expect people to go digital there should be something. It's crazy that people can't even play single player without their saves possibly getting erased. The server lost is just not working on the xbox one. Every mode I select puts me in team deathmatcj too. I'd say that justifies a refund.

Fixing the problem where you campaign save gets deleted constantly should be the first thing they fix, really annoying.

Finally making some headway in the campaign on PS4 after countless corrupted files. I found my save completely missing this morning. It's not even in the cloud. Does it automatically upload to the cloud?

The PS4 game update that was originally meant to go live Dec 3 is undergoing some additional testing and will be rescheduled for a later date. We will get back with final details as soon as we have verification that the update is good to go.

oh and I hope at some point they find the fucking time to fix the clipping on the game... can't tell you how many times I'll be in a vehicle and drive over a hill or something else and it gets magically caught and stuck. most people bail but i'm a stubborn ass and if i'm not getting hammered I'll floor it and hit boost and try to wiggle it around. Sometimes I get lucky after awhile and can free it.

same thing on foot, there will be some low lip to a window or a small wall or a small something and you can't fucking get past it. trying to climb over it only seems to work if you find the sweet spot at the perfect angle. it's bad enough when a teammate flies right by and doesn't get stuck. even worse when it's an enemy and you get popped.

i've also noticed a lot more lag and stuttering on conquest. overall hit detection is sketchy. it'll be spot on for a few sessions and then i'll put three blasts from my shotty into a guy point blank, no hit markers at all, he turns and I die.

i know this is classic battlefield but please stop putting me in matches with less than 2 minutes left. k? thx.

Seriously tho, i think i can hold. i was a huge bf3 fan and i thought premium was a great value but i didnt get it on bf4 just because i feel that they dont deserve a dime from me until the game actually works. i also gave them a bad review on amazon due to the game being broken.

Which makes joining with more than 1 friend impossible.

Oddly enough, if you select every game mode / some other stuff, and then de-select stuff, for some reason it starts populating.

It's weird, I don't get it. But I actually used the browser last night. I don't think it remembered my favorites, though. So nice to assure I pick a good ping server, helped my K/D out a lot.

The tablet app or just going to battlelog on a laptop has worked great for joining games on PS4 for me. But yeah the server list on PS4 is borked.

Conquest was broken on PS4 magically until Xbone released. Guessing Its in the contract that patches have to come out same time and PS4 can't have patch first. Just my opinion and I have nothing against Xbone.

Think I might be done with Dice for a good bit. This will hurt them in the long run. Hope they didn't let EA force game out like this. They just nuked their customer cred with this release. Sometimes you never get that back patches or not.

No, not at all. If I join a game with a friend, if I'm lucky enough to be on the same team I have about a 1/10 record of being on their squad. It's nonsense.

Yup. I knew MP would be a mess so I avoided it for a little while, but when I have to restart your shitty campaign like 5 times because my single player data keeps being erased, someone done fucked up. Not giving them my money next time.

Aside from enemies disappearing under the scenario a couple times when killed or right after a firefight is over (this one is maybe intentional?), I didn't have a single sp crash (prison on hard right now). I thought it was addressed with 1.51 "stability patch" on Sony side. Online, on the other side, is pretty much a mess. Managed to play only a couple rounds of bomb.

Also, the patch notes don't exactly strike me as the top-of-the-list things to fix.

it is not SP crashes that are the issue. it is playing multiplayer, and getting a crash, and that corrupts your save. meaning you loose any SP progress. Unless you have an up to date cloud save or whatever, to back up from. Not sure if you can get the same crash and corrupted save from playing SP or not.

Aside from Skyrim and maybe SOCOM, has a AAA console game ever shipped this broken?

previous Battlefields, maybe some Fallouts, Simcity? Not as broken, but good contenders.

Your online stats are saved on DICEs servers so you should be good there

I absolutely love Battlefield, and haven't been into Call of Duty for some time now, but this stuff is unacceptable.

At least the game is mostly playable now, not like that first week. Conquest Large didn't work. Rush crashed almost every game. During that time I just felt like I was suckered out of 60 dollars. I hope they realize how much goodwill they've lost amongst long time fans. Double XP is NOT a proper apology for your broken fucking shit.

Well, if it's any consolation, the damage is super high on COD Ghosts and imo is the worst one in awhile. I've actually enjoyed the multi in BF4 a lot more than Ghosts.

The one hit kill bug happens fairly frequently. When you die instantly from one shot when you're completely full on health? That bug is almost always to blame. I can't wait until it's patched out, it has been the cause of a lot of frustration for me.
