Ghost of Yotei - New Trailer | State of Play 2025

A trailer for a trailer that is 2 months out. The fuck, SP?!

That almost looked like you get to play as the wolf, though.... I'd like that

"Still with me?"

"No, I forgot this game existed" - and then they show nothing

arm show gameplay states of play??

DAMN can't wait. Easy preduction the wolf will work as an offensive skill in combat but I hope it's much more

literally the least interesting thing for me at the showcase (yes it was literally a few seconds long) but after nioh 3 , seeing this pop up kind of made me go meh...

hopefully the state of play shows something to drum up real hype.

A trailer for another future trailer..

That yells "we didnt have fucking nothing!"

They literally put that shit there because their studios got no new games to show.

It's disappointing that it was a teaser for a later gameplay reveal but at the same time it means we're getting state of plays for it and Saros(hopefully soon as in a 1 month or 2) soon.

The release is so close that I'm guessing they will start a marketing blitz pretty soon.

I trust sucker punch. They can't fuck it up after Tsushima I think.

Day one.

Agreed, this is cutting it close and worry on why they are not doing a deep dive like...right now. I love the shorter marketing window, but that only fucking works if you MARKET THE GAME! This isn't the time for a teaser, this is time for its own State Of Play deep dive etc. With 4 months until its released, I feel they should have already been doing deep dives...

They haven't showcased anything exciting, just expect more of the usual.

Looks like a Horizon Forbidden West kind of situation. Pretty as always, almost similar to the first game.

IMO it will be better in the graphics and open world department (not too difficult with this one) but far worse in storytelling. Combat will depend on the variety that the wolf gameplay brings.

Again. State Of Plays are every 3 months, with spotlight shows in-between.

People need to wrap their heads around that "winning" E3 season isn't worth shit. The only thing that matters is actual sales performance per-title. This isn't entertainment, its MARKETING.

And marketing is all about the right time and place to draw maximum attention and interest relative to the time it hits retail.

Sad, but true.

Social media engagement is infinitely more valuable than spending millions on trade shows now.

For an October game you'd think they'd have more to show

I mean they announced Astro Bot May 30th, '24 and released September 6th.

I think they'll let Death Stranding 2 have its time in the sun and from the state of play in July shift focus to Ghost. I'm sure it will have a massive presence at TGS, maybe even with a playable demo (fingers crossed).

I'd also expect Marvel Tokon to be a TGS in a big way.
