I think it's a good thing to stop encouraging mediocrity. If I do a shitty job, I'll be punished by my boss and it's the same for them.

These people shouldn't have even had that fuckin big budget to produce this shitty game.

They should be grateful they got to spend 8 years collecting a nice paycheck while pursing some vanity project that nobody wanted. Competent leadership would've shut this studio down years earlier.

I genuinely think every1 except coders did fuck all those 8 years and coders had so much preasure put on them by the clowns in the dev team they should get additional salary bonus for working in conditions that dangerous for their health :P

A great part of the Concord debacle (it's probably still there if someone found it), was hermen Hulst back in 2021 I think pumping the tires.

He tweeted something like… I saw what was at Firewalk and it looks good.

It was something along those lines. Who the hell knows what Jim Ryan and hermen saw in the game way back when they bought the studio. But they thought it was so good, instead of partnering with them they bought out many GAAS studios at once in those years (Bungie included).

It goes to show how out of the loop they were when it came to their bottomless pockets gold rush to suddenly do GAAS shooters when their last one was KZ Shadowfall at PS4 launch.

Pretty much. The game did seem to be fine when it came to gunplay and net code.

I'd also say whomever did the animations did a good job too. Too bad the core art styles of the characters were a DEI lovers dream.

sometimes it's ok when people lose their jobs.
It's for the greater good
Exactly.

People get fired all the time for doing a bad job.

It's just that games are made by a studio of 10, 50 or 100s of people. So once it flops you might as well get rid of all of them because they got nothing else to do and you surely don't want to give them another 5+ years of time and budget to fuck up again.

If any of you hired someone (let's say to renovate your house) at good money and time and they screwed up. You wouldn't hire them again either. See ya. Next project you got that needs work, you'll find someone else.

As stupid as it sounds, at least with a shitty contractor you can go after him to do a good job or even take him to court if he messes up that badly.

When it comes to shit employees tanking a company, the company still has to pay them. And then to get rid of them has to pay even more money with severance. So it's like a win. Do a bad job and somehow the idiots get paid twice. If a contractor fucks up your house you don't say… oh thanks for the shitty roof you installed. Here's another $5,000 as a bonus.
