Damn it.

Ever since Conan said Gareth looks like a disgruntled Starbucks worker I cant help but think of him that way every time he appears. Lol. I wish Gareth was played by someone older and a bit more creepier.

But that would ruin the whole point of the character. His character to underline that anyone (yea even the ones some people swoon over) can become evil if their survival demands it. Falling back on the old ugly, awkward, disfigured person = bad guy trope does nothing new and only continues a cliche that goes back to Shakespeare's plays.

I was thinking more like this guy

Just got around to watching this and that last scene with Bob and whatever was just so cheesy and laughably bad.

This shit with the cannibals is going to be stretched this entire season isnt it?
Doubtful. Expect it'll wrap up around the midway point or thereabouts.

I honestly wouldn't expect to last even that long with how fast things are moving plot wise I expect this to be done by episode 4 or 5.
I'm kind of leaning towards your perspective as well. We've grown so conditioned to the series dragging stories out with padding and filler that a prompt resolution would be downright refreshing.

Hell, might as well have a bloodbath this week and end things right after the Bob-B-Q. It's not like you can really stretch out a concept like "these people are fucked in the head and they choose to eat limbs off of people instead of raiding houses for cans of pudding". And if Bob really was bitten in the food bank, it's not like Gareth and company have long to live regardless.

It will be hilarious if Bob was indeed bit and infects all of the cannibals. I also do agree that it would be cool to see something new with the zombie threat. A new zombie threat of sorts, a weird virus, something just to keep things fresh an interesting on that front and lol zombie howlers sound both creepy an awesome too. I's also like to seem them eventually leave Georgia too.

Also episode titles for 5 and 6:

The Walking Dead - Episode 5.05 - The Choice
The Walking Dead - Episode 5.06 - Heart Drift

IF they were to ever do new kinds of zombies, the only type I would be okay with would be animal zombies (though I imagine that would be too hard/expensive to do). Adding smart/fast/projectile shooting zombies would be the worst thing they could possibly do to the show.

Well it's obvious from the episode 5 title that
someone makes a choice

Animal zombies could be cool. Anything to keep things fresh. Season 5 is off to a good start though.

Im one of those always complaining about "nothing happens on the walking dead"

Yet this cannot be said about this season. A lot of stuff already happened in two episodes.

Yet somehow... im not enjoying it a lot.

Well, at least this season will be easier to watch on a rerun (cause really, i tried to watch season 4 again and its impossible. Its just too boring!)

COMIC SPOLIER THAT COULD HAPPEN IN THE SHOW
For those wanting a new threat of zombies, well you get your wish in the comics so go buy it and read it lol

Hope this wasn't a spoiler

Perhaps the infection is slow moving and had not moved to his leg when they started eating it. Sounds dumb, but it's an excuse to keep them alive while allowing for such a mindfuck of a final scene.

You should spoiler tag this a little bit better (I fixed it for you) and while I am a bit miffed that I won't be surprised because I read this but at the same time I am SO SO SO glad that this is happening. I hope it's interesting, threatening and not stupid but it really is a refresher.

Without spoiling too much is it done right? As in threatening and not over the top? It's such a double edge sword that could really work against the series or give it the big refreshing boost it needs.

Mild recent comic spoiler
It's not what you think it is, was more of a fake-out than anything else. But yes, it's threatening without going all Resident Evil.

ehhh Yeah It's kind of a copout but it's actually a very good defensive move

Screenrant - Andrew Lincoln: Final Season 5 Episodes Are
a ‘Totally New Show’
(spoilers)

On the first three episodes, with emphasis on episode 3: (HYPE)

"I think the first three episodes are pretty much a body blow—three is an astonishingly brutal and uncompromising episode."

On the rest of the season:

“
But then the story kind of spins off. But I would say that nine, ten, and eleven . . . and twelve . . . actually, the whole season is pretty intense. I’m trying to sort of temper it, but I can’t. It moves very quickly. Lots of new locations, a heck of a lot of new characters. But it is a season where maybe two-thirds has this momentum and this drive, and then the final third is like a completely new show.
”

Sounds like confirmation that
Fear the Hunters will end tonight.

Also, (comic spoiler)
it sounds like they reach Alexandria towards the end of the season. All according to keikaku!

Also, that first link, is that

Not that it's not a foregone conclusion, but pretty sure one of the pictures is WalkerBob.

I think that speech might be too on the nose for TV audiences.

Also, we probably won't see that character until next season.

The full quote from Andrew Lincoln relating to tonight's episode:

“Be advised: Episode 3 is very, very . . . well, we’re going into uncharted waters with this episode, and I’d be very intrigued to know what you make of it Three is an astonishingly brutal and uncompromising episode.”

I bet he's referencing (comic spoiler)
what he does to the Hunters...! :O

I really hope so.
Not only because it's awesome but because it would mean things are moving along pretty nicely.

Agreed.
I love that so many people are thinking that they'll drag this out across the entire half season, when in reality it's probably going to end tonight. :D

For some reason I thought
it would end the episode after this week so it should be interesting!

52 more mins -_-
