Lennie James is awesome is another reason for the following. He was a badass in shows like Jericho too. So a chance for him to be a badass in the zombie apocalypse. Hell yeah

I never really understood if the Morgan love was because of his character in the comics or because people liked the actor. Seeing so many shocked to find out he has a british accent makes me think it's the former. He's a great actor anyway, thats why I wanted to see him back.

The roid raging powers of Tyreese, the don't give a shit how to win mindframe of Rick, the no scope 420 blazeit skills of Daryl, and the mystical oneness of nature and Jedi sticksabre skills of Michonne. All in one. That is Morgan.

I was on edge the whole episode.

Loved it. Nothing jaw droppingly crazy happen but I don't care.

The tension was absolutely insane. From the first talk with Morgan to the gate being open towards the end. Non stop.

guys, guys. Morgan is black, in case you didn't realize it. which means the black quota is going to be too high, again. so, who's gonna die next? Gabriel or Sasha?
honestly I hope that they both die, such boring and awful characters.

Lol sasha looking in scope for something 2 feet in front of her
you don't get it, that scope has auto-aim on. 100% accurate headshots

best scene.

reminded me of when Daryl destroyed a tank by running in front of it and throwing a granade ''inside'' of it.

Good point.

I'm guessing they'll both die. Will open up room for another black guy.

After finally, actually watching the episode... I kinda ship Daryl and Aaron now. I was joking about it before, but damn that close quarters car scene.

Did you forget that Michonne is black?

Edit: ah crap, didn't mean to double post, apologies.

Wait a second... I've only now just made the connection between The Wolves and the line from the comics (comic spoilers)
when the scavengers are at the gates and the leader says: "little pig, little pig... let me in."
I'm so dumb... Of course that's who they are!

I gotta agree with everyone who is speculating... *comic spoilers*

That 6a will be the wolves. I dont think we will see the herd until 6b. I think next season will end with Carl losing his eye.

But what I really can't wait for is when they introduce pirate Michonne in the show. I know it will be a looooooooong time from now even if the show makes it that far. But seeing pirate Michonne in her ship on TV will be epic as fuck.

In case you want to see what she looks like heres a pic. .....................

It might be worth indicating that the picture you're linking to (and the text you're spoiler tagging) is from the very latest issue of the comic book released less than a week ago. Even some of the comic book readers may not have seen it yet.

Yep. I'm about 10 or so issues behind. Let's try to keep the comic discussion in relation to the TV series within the limits of events that could realistically happen in Season 6, huh guys?

First time I've really been spoiled by "comic spoilers" as a comic reader.

Must be some sort of sick karmic justice. :p

I feel bad for those that didn't enjoy the finale. I and everyone I know loved it and the tension was great. I'm fine with them not killing anyone major, makes it less predictable.
I'm super stoked to see what is in store for season 6. Rick + Morgan = unstoppable, you don't even need anyone else lol

I loved the (comics, #139)
fakeout of Ezekiel and the sword at the start of that issue, lol. If Michonne didn't show up right after it would have been pretty mean spirited though.

Gabriel has to go. Fuck that guy.

So the Ricktatorship is in full swing next season...yaaaaa
Hopefully because Deanna was a pretty terrible leader.

"We are going to have a very important meeting to discuss the situation yesterday (that only about 10 people witnessed)!" Cut to the meeting in some dark corner of who knows where, there are only a dozen people there, and she decides that Rick and Gabriel's attendance isn't important enough to postpone the meeting or send someone to get them.

A good leader can stand up to unrest or a challenger, a poor leader crumbles. Deanna didn't stand a chance against the Ricktatorship.

Nice.

(Comic Spoilers)
I like that Gimple is giving these guys more of a story and presenting the Wolves as a much greater danger. That "little pig" line is going to be that much more perfect when they reach the gates of Alexandria now. I also saw somebody mention on reddit that the guy in the red cloak who was slain by them essentially represents Little Red Riding Hood. Can't believe I didn't pick up on that when I first watched the episode. I really like little touches like that.

And I guess Rick is the Axeman who's giving to fuck them up wih a red handled machete. Actually if he uses an axe, it'll be even better

The last scene of this episode, I have a friend who is questioning what went down lol. I think it's pretty obvious, but he's serious about it so maybe others feel the same way:

When Deanna said to "Do it" what did she mean? My friend is saying that she was telling Rick to shoot her own husband before he turns into a zombie. I explained to him how it makes more sense that Rick shot the abusive husband because not only did he turn and shoot towards the abusive husband after she said "Do it," but that scene was meant to convey her transition to being one of the group. She realized in that moment that Rick is the truth and that guy needed to be cleansed.

Personally, I think he's bogus after some of the things he's saying when I think it's painfully obvious what happened ;b

Thoughts?
Did Rick shoot the abusive husband or did Rick shoot Deanna's husband before turning into a zombie?

Judging by the angle he turned and how little he raised his arm I'd say
he shot D's husband

One thing I'd mention, which was also demonstrated in Season 2 when Rick and he met again; the guy playing Morgan, Lennie James, is a damn good actor I think. I've never seen him in anything before, not sure if he's a big name or not, but I'll be very sad if he doesn't become a big addition to the main cast of Walking Dead. I'd love to keep seeing more of him and wouldn't want him relegated to a more support role, especially since he out-badassed most of the show in just 1 episode. Give him a Season of it and I'm absolutely sold.

Rick and Morgan will always have an interesting dynamic too, I imagine, I can't wait to see them reunited next Season.

Go watch Snatch. Lennie James is awesome.

So best, worst, and most badass moments of the season?

Best for me would have to be Carol going all one-woman army on Terminus.

Worst would be Tyresse getting bit because he was too engrossed by pictures to actually fully check the house. Come on, you're cautious enough to tap at the door to draw walkers out, but don't kill that one walker just to be safe?

Most badass has to be Morgan showing off his Donatello skills. I don't know where those skills came from but it was amazing. The fact that people were saying Morgan had been killed made the scene even more tense and his Book of Eli ninja moves even cooler

Carol is something else.

Rewatching that final scene is pretty fucked up. Rick is ready to take out Pete as soon as he shows up sword in hand, but Carol stops him, as if knowing Pete was about to dig his own grave by escalating the situation even futher and irreversibly. She just stands there cool as shit when Pete does somethign stupid, and then, as Dianna's husband is dying, she looks at her, and then Rick, as if to signal that the right time to commence the Ricktatorship.

When Rick was giving his speech, all the people in town were thinking "wait! Did he just say he was bouta shot us all?!"

Not to mention he shows up covered in blood. Zombie Walker or not, it just seems awfully convenient for all this to happen in his favor.

Man, just got done watching, that last scene gave me chills. Especially Ricks last line:

How many of you do I have to kill to save you.

Also Carol is a fucking psychopath.

Finale definitely left me wanting more. So glad to see Lennie James back and I hope he sticks around awhile this time. The dynamic between Rick and Morgan should be interesting since it seems Morgan's taken a more Zen like bent since the last time they crossed paths. I want Gabriel gone so bad, fuck that guy. But I get the feeling he'll get some sort of redemption and be spared but he needs to go. Him and Nicholas are just the worst.

I keep waiting for her to tell Ensign Paris to engage.
Wait. Wait wait - that's Captain Janeway?? I guess the voice is the same, but I never realized... Christ I'm so bad at recognizing actors.
I also thought Tyrese was played by Idris Elba until about a month or so ago. Sometimes I think I have face blindness or something.

My list:

Best: Rick kneeling in the middle of the street, covered in blood and waving a gun around while saying, "What, you gonna kick me out?? Me?! ME!?!"

Worst: Killing Beth in the midseason finale. All the hospital arc, all her character development, for nothing. I don't see why it was necessary for the writers to kill her off when Chad Coleman was ready to leave and you have Tyrese dying in the next episode.

Most badass: Rick telling Gareth he didn't want to waste any bullets. Then going Patriot on his face with that red-handled machete.

I have to give an honorable mention to Abraham this season. I thought it was interesting how he almost became the leader of the group while they were at the church and he was giving his speech about going to Washington. Then his breakdown when he discovers Eugene was lying, to then stepping aside from a leadership role and fully backing Rick, telling the people at Alexandria how capable he is, and holding Pete down for the execution.

what do you mean? that the fact that abraham was explaining how "rick's seen a lot of shit" speech was not enough for the alexandrians?
The fact that those fuckers didn't realize that shit the first conversation they had with Rick's group proves we're dealing with a bunch of idiots. The guy's in a zombie apocalypse with a baby. A baby.. in the zombie apocalypse.. do you need more proof of him being a good guy? Oh, and his son wear a cowboy hat.

Alexandrians are buffoons lol

Finally had time to sit down and watch. Loved the finale. I'd have to say this is definitely my favourite season thus far.
