14 minutes of Dragon's Crown gameplay

Early reports from Japan say that Vita's touch control really helps at various moments, where at PS3 version you must move your cursor using an analog stick.
That also making me to see why cross-platform isn't supported between two versions...

Well, I don't see how the cursor part would be the reason why. FFXI is cross platform across PC/PS2/360 and they can use totally different methods of control.

I'm not feeling to hot about cats at the moment, seeing as how my sister's fickle cat just bit me.
In the cat's defense,
you're made of meat
.

From my brief research it seems closer to Malbroche or Hoy Regular. I'm afraid I simply used the "What the Font" feature on the site, I'm not very experienced with various fonts.
Thanks. I WTF'd it a bit too, but couldn't find an exact. One font might get some characters right, another others, but overall I think they're using a custom font. A pity, I really like it.

As far as I can tell, all touch is used for directing the thief, clicking on environmental stuff & using runes, and reviving dead party members (you click on their name to give them a continue). The last one seems like it can get you killed if you're fiddling around with an analogue stick cursor during a boss fight.

Got my copy. I can give some impressions/answer some questions too. So far the game is one of the prettiest things I've seen on my TV.
Can you confirm the resolution?

One example I can think of is that the video shows that at intermission party members can eat food go regain power and get some exp. At that session all 4 members shares same table with foods and they must drag & drop foods to pots for cooking. The video shows PS3 version but I'm guessing Vita's touch screen UI would be much quicker than PS3's analog sticks.

I haven't got my copies so I may be wrong. Just my 2 cents.

Can anyone say how easy it is to follow the game on Vita's screen? I had problems during the youtube video on my 23" pc monitor, heh.

And DOES it lend itself to short burst of playtime well, or not?

I like how sorceress and wizard(and amazon?) look like younger versions of the current themselves, it's almost like the time passed for them too!

I'm pretty excited myself right now. Just got word my two copies shipped from ebten this afternoon. Cant wait to play tommorrow!

If anything the graphics almost looked sharper on the Vita then on my 50 inch LED TV, but still awesome graphics. I started with the male sorcerer and might start another game with the knight as well. I will post more tomorrow for sure. Wish I could say more in detail but embargo's and all, but as long as I don't live stream, upload video, or give anything similar to a review, I'm covered.

Not surprising at all really.

This thread has convinced me to buy this.

I've been tracking the game since it was first mentioned around NGP time, but as it got closer to release this year, I figured it was just going to be a really expensive beat'em-up that I was done with in a few days.

But they're saying 15 hours of content? Random loot?

How much leveling up and loot-farming type stuff is there? Is this a game, say like Patapon 3, where it'd be fun to just replay some of the hardest content hoping for a rare drop? How many armor/weapon slots are there to upgrade?

It'd have looked so much like Princess Crown XD Or a Shining-series game of the time...

The modern designs work good for a BEU, but I have to say I really miss that 32-bit era Shining Force / Golden Sun style art. EVERYTHING now-a-days goes for a more modern "High Definition" Uber-detail, over-design style look, and it'd be nice to see some HD games that instead polish up more retro designs.

Can anyone tell me if you have to pre order to get the art book? Or can I get it later (let's say 2 weeks or something)
Are there any pre order bonuses?
