And lol @ keys expiring and the charter plane being ready to go cause their country thought they would lose in first round. :lol :lol
Lmao, any link to that news??

Victor Zambrano on the mound for Venezuela, this game will last 10 minutes.

Enjoyed the baseball game today :D Last PR game sadly, won't be flying to Miami since I have tests. Oh well. Loved it.

So I honestly couldn't care less about the WBC so I don't know the elimination rules -- how many losses can the US have in round 2?

New pool, so I think they need to win their next 2 games if they lose this one.

You're out if you lose 2 and you're on semis if you win 2

Also, judging by the crowd i didn't know that Miami was part of Puerto Rico :lol Its really a shame that Americans don't care at all about this.

I love the WBC. If I lived near enough to go, I would be there. I hate those in FL so much. They don't deserve baseball.

Awesome! I wanted PR to win, but I sure as fuck wasn't expecting a knock out.

It's not like PR has a shit team either, our batting lineup is pretty damn good. 8 of those guys are in the big leagues.

Still, no Domicana against Puertorro is probably the biggest disappointment so far of this WBC. I was looking forward to that. :(

You get to see Team USA vs The Netherlands, though :D Doubt anyone will care if USA loses again.

I was at the PR vs USA game tonight. Was pretty damn nuts with all the PR fans in the audience. I'd gauge the crowd was 75% for Puerto Rico, but the crowd *sounded* more like 95% Puerto Rico fans.

Mark DeRosa is garbage, but the rest of team USA wasn't much better. Third base coach cost the team one run as well. All around awful game .... I paid $25 for my ticket, wasn't expecting just 7 innings....

UGH!

Woo!

Hopefully PR beats Venezuela to qualify for the finals on Monday. I was very disappointed tonight's game wasn't shown on ESPN. At least tomorrow's US vs. Netherlands, and Monday's PR vs. Venezuela games will both be televised through ESPN/ESPN2.

Saw the PR vs. USA game at a friend's house. Of course I was rooting for PR (home team, duh) but hell if I expected mercy rule to take place. We were joking with it in the 1st inning but wow.... never thought that would happen. The PR team is very strong, undefeated in 4 outings. Best offense of the whole WBC, and definitely a tight pitching and defense. Was a pretty awesome game.

Hey USA. you get to beat Netherlands tomorrow unless they pull another like the Dominican games :lol

Japan v.s. Cuba just starting, should be an awesome game.

Cuba's pitcher is a lefty who's supposedly hit 102 mph on the gun in Cuba.

no, retard.

Yeah sucks, but they were playing horrible. Looks like Roberts has his swing going good.

And damn, Dunn looks horrible in RF.

I think it's hilarious ESPN tried to manufacture a story saying David Wright was pissed at Englehardt's reaction. Only reaction David had was "Holy shit that ball was effin crushed!!" :lol

Man, I wish this Mexico vs Korea game was earlier. It's a much better match up than either of the other two games today and much more entertaining.

*edit* Waa, HR into left field by Korea just as I was typing this :lol 3-2!

No surprise, Koreans come support their players in most sports, like soccer. That was a nail biter right there, but nice plays by Team Korea to get out of bases loaded.

*edit* Good call on the replacement 2nd baseman :lol 4-2!

...

Oliver better get this crap out of his system before the regular system. Perez's location on his fastball has been horrible in this game. Dan Warthen needs to do some work on him when he comes back.

the korean fans cheer as soon as contact is made, even when its an obvious out. Is it like this in their professional league?
So annoying. They're dead silent to the point of being comatose when the opposing team bats but are screaming when Korea is batting. I say a constitutional amendment needs to be drafted banning thundersticks.

sure you can appreciate the irony in mexicans being the "quiet" ones in a stadium =P

I'd be quiet too if one of my teams' best pitchers is Spring Training Oliver Perez w/o Mets coaches around him!

Crazy... I've never seen a pitcher come out specifically for 1 player, strike out 1 more, and then get called out again.

teams used to always do this against Bonds, warm up a left hander specifically for him then take him out after the at bat

Tried to watch 2 of them yesterday but EVERY game went so long they overlapped the game that started an hour after the previous game was to end. And not just a little overlapped either. :lol
