lol @ lakers getting closer to 70.

they're going to celtics it up all season to rest kobe's knee and stretch bynum.

Yeah I know, I had to do one extreme prediction, they're all pretty basic. I definitely expect the Kobe greatest talk to be pushed into high gear this year though. Him chasing #6 will be a serious ESPN story. I do think Artest will have a very good year, and be better acclimated to the triangle offense. And who knows, maybe Bynum comes back on time. :lol

Is it just me or does Shaq look like he's in great shape?

The Celtics are stacked man...they are gonna be hard to beat this year and I think you'll see that in the opener. I saw that squad on NBATV today and I was surprised by how pumped KG was after what happened in game 7. He was talking about how the energy level was similar to 08...and I actually believe it. The roster is better than 08 now and the emergence of all the new guys keeps everyones bullshit in line. It's one thing for Shaq and JOneal to douche around when their backups are Varejao, Hickson, Anthony and etc but I think there is a pride level involved when you get that many guys together that were actively competing at a high level against each other in their prime years.

I mean even last year the Celtics looked like shit for large chunks of the time and walked into the playoffs and shit all over the best teams without a problem. To think that they could be even more motivated this year and actually have a significantly better roster is scary.

The Lakers are of course going to be good. The question is really about how good Kobe can be and if they want to actually attempt to get a high seeding. I'm predicting that they luck out and get a finals homecourt due to the Celtics being lazy and turning it on when it matters though.

Surprise team of the year: The Bucks. I think they will turn some heads.

Which brings us to RoY...

John Wall has his hands full but I predict he'll win out. Griffin will win it easily and suffer a short lapse due to injury which will stall his numbers (clips curse), and Gilbert Arenas will probably be in Jail or cut by mid season which will result in Walls numbers sky rocketing due to no one else on the team being worth a damn.

I'm convinced the Thunder won't make it to the WCF until they get Blake Griffin!

Least:
Heat
Magic
Hawks
Celtics
Bulls
Bucks
Charlotte
Cleveland

Best:
Lakers
Blazers
Mavs
Rockets
Jazz
OKC
Spurs
Nuggets

MVP: Kevin Durant
DPOY: Dwight Howard
ROY: Wall

What idiot scheduled 2 games at the same time on opening night? Going to have to use league pass DVR for the Blazers game now.

Sorry I meant though DirecTV here in Portland.

Ok, my fantasy for the coming year:
- Landry Fields and Tim Mozgov both make the 2nd rookie team.
- Knicks win 50 games.
- they get Melo for Curry, Chandler, Walker and Mason Jr.
- Stoudemire All NBA 1st teamer.

I don't expect it to happen, but a man can dream :(

Yeah, yeah, i'll share whatever drugs I'm on.

I guess I'll just hope that the Heat fail as hard as possible. Go Celtics.

The Jazz vs Lakers n Heat vs. Celtics.
Jazz over the Heat for championship.
COY Jerry Sloan
MVP Kevin Durant
ROY Blake Griffin

WTF is going on in here?

Ma bad lol. Conference championship matchups n basic award winners.

I understood that... What I didn't understand was how the he'll you thought the Jazz were beating the Lakers in 7 and then the Heat or Celtics in 7

I just fell this our best team to actually try n get there. Most likely it wont happen, but i hold that hope. If i were a betting, Lakers over the Celtics. The depth the Lakers have make them the best team easily. I still dont understand how the Lakers afforded to get better but they have. Heat team depth gonna kill them against the Lakers.

It's based on their consistent and awesome
ly shitty
playoff performances in recent years. Anyone not predicting that Al Jeff and Ammo 1.5 are the missing pieces for the chip are kidding themselves.

Re: the Thunder unis: I agree when it comes to the road ones (although the color's nice), but I seriously think the home unis are some of the best in the league:

They really aren't... They look like rec league unis.. Home and Away, I expect to see Meadowbrook Community Center on the fronts...

Like I said the color is ok, but the font and design looks like ass

Just remembered Tyreke is suspended for the first game of the season. Cousins and Casspi will probably get some shots up in the first game.

No fucking way the Czzz finish behind Atlanta.

Except that they did last season, and Atlanta is the same team but 1 year better, and Boston is likely to give less of a fuck about the regular season since they're also 1 year older?

Lebron doesn't get it. See right through that commercial for the victim play it is.
While I agree that was bullshit (well done bullshit, but still bullshit), lets not pretend that LeBron came up with the idea for that ad.

And speaking of the upcoming season I want no part of the Celtics if the Lakers make it back to the Finals for the 4th year in a row. That shit hurts too much. I just want the gang healthy with a top 3 seed entering the playoffs. Would be nice to have a bench, but I am not going to get ahead of myself. You can't have everything.

They are a lot deeper this year than year.. Full year of Nate Dizzle.. And think about the front line when Perkins comes back. Shaq Perkins KG and Jazzy bell Oneal? Yeah they are a much better than they were last year.

Poooooooooooooohhhh!

Cousins better shit all over them tomorrow. I mean, how can you not when the guys defending you are Darko Milicic, Nikola Pekovic and Kosta Koufos? :lol

Darko has been playing pretty good... He think he is going to have a decent season...

Does not compute!

Documentary Details Anthony's New York Roots

After eight years, his family left for Baltimore in search of a better life. Instead, things gradually got worse and it wasn't long before Anthony was missing New York. One day, the unhappy Anthony scribbled on his wall, "If I can survive this, I can survive anything."

Eventually, Anthony developed a love for Baltimore and was proud to call it home. But even as he rose to prominence in Maryland, the young phenom didn't forget his first home.

"They started calling me 'Little New York' and 'New York this' or 'New York that,'" Anthony said with a laugh.
Very interesting...

"Bernard King was my favorite basketball player. Of course everyone liked Jordan, Magic, Bird and all of those guys, but Bernard King was the guy who I looked at and thought, 'Yo, he's the real deal.' Especially when he was in New York, I wanted to be Bernard King.
Wait how old was Melo when King stopped playing for the Knicks? 3? 4? :lol

Anthony was born during King's prime years in New York, but when King retired, it looks like Melo was about 9 years old.

Fuck, we (The Raptors) are really gonna be sooo bad this season... but drafting one of Barnes/Jones/Irving next summer will be worth it! :D

Man, the Jazz have a tough opening schedule. Back-to-back to open the season with Denver and Phoenix followed a couple days later with a game against the Thunder. Then a bit of easy stretch with the Raptors, Warriors, and Clippers (Though the Clippers are decent this year and that game is the second half of a back-to-back), followed by a road back-to-back with the Heat and Magic and another road back-to-back with the Hawks and Bobcats. And then they play the Thunder again. At least the chemistry has looked good in the preseason. Hopefully they can go 7-4 to start the season.

At least Melo wanting to be like Bernard King made sense, since Melo would be his contemporary version anyway - a perfect weapon offensively at the 3.

Dammit, the preseason hype has me scared we're gonna massively disappoint.

Calm down everyone. I think 55-56 wins is reasonable to predict, but even then a lot of shit has to go right.

Hell, the national analysts are higher on OKC than the locals are.

With Gasol out, Thabeet fever sweeping Memphis. No D-League for the #2 overall pick this year!

Predictions:

Miami wins it all.
Bitches laid.
Ballers paid.
Haters mad.
UD 6th man or Bron-Bron MVP, not both.
Durant scoring title (who cares when you got title titles?).
Numerous NBA-GAF members finally complete their sex-change operations.
I laugh and laugh and laugh.

PEACE.

Poor troll. All of those are possible, except for UD 6th man.

Spurs win 50 games easy. They always do. It's an 11 year streak that won't end until the NBA lockout.

1 of the top 4 teams in each conference last year won't make the playoffs this year. Cavs and Bucks probably won't in the East. In the west, I don't know if the Jazz can make it again. I don't see Jefferson having a breakout season in a pick and roll system.

Tomorrow begins the Cavs triumphant 2010-2011 campaign which will culminate in a glorious "Fuck You" 8 over 1 upset over LeJudas and the Miama cHeat in Round 1.

Darko's a pretty good defender and Pek will make him work on defense.
