You guys are over reacting. Kobe's lost us like 5 games this season but his aggressiveness and confidence are why he's Kobe. Don't bench him...don't create issues for one regular season game.

Part if managing ego's is not blowing your shit if someone is having a bad game...one of Kobe's worst games ever...he cost us this game...move on

My new theory is that Kobe needs a bad point guard to play well.
That would work if he didn't already have 3 stinkers this year when Fish was still in the league. (Denver, Washington, Detroit). Those games were definitely within the same range of terribleness as tonight.

Denver was still the worst game he had this season.

Kobe didn't take bad shots in this game. He just missed a lot of very good looks, whereas against Denver he was chucking some god awful shots.

very unfortunate.

Nah, those games were like Konex terrible. This game was like Shadowlark terrible.

100% truth right here.

My reaction to Kobe tonight was "WTF Kobe?" My reaction to Kobe in that Denver game was "FUCK YOU KOBE". It was a whole different ball game...

I agree. This was a worse loss though. You can't lose to an under-manned Utah team at home

That's half of the whole, isn't?

The only reason you were in it was because Bynum went off, so ... why was he shooting?

As I said above, a lot of the looks Kobe had were great looks. Should he not shoot a point blank layup or 4 footer in the lane barely contested? he just missed them.

I am pretty certain if he had those exact looks again, he shoots like 13/20.

And Bynum got the rock a lot. Despite only 14 shots, lots of FTs and was doubled hard and passed too.

Yeah, definitely a worse loss. Like I said all game, I wasn't sure how the Lakers weren't blown out how poorly things went.

You guys are ridiculous. Is Kobe supposed to stop shooting because he's missing easy ones? We win this game if Burks doesn't go crazy in the 4th and Kanter and Millsap don't have like 50

Wouldn't it have been smarter to pass the ball if you're having such an off night, especially considering Bynum was going off? So to answer your question, yes he should have stopped shooting.

Kobe's highest scoring seasons came with Smush Parker as his PG.

I rest my case.

If Kobe's on the floor, he's gonna shoot. I have no issues with his shots. 20 is not a lot for Kobe at all

he did pass it to Bynum at the end. He scored on the 2nd to last play to get them within 3 (they had to go fast, didn't have time for a post up) and then took the final 3 which he had to take.

He didn't force shots. For instance, on a quasi-break, Kobe seals his man at like 6 feet from the basket, gets it, and turns and just missed a simple 4 foot shot. What, should he not even try?

If you stop playing basketball, you are not useful to your team. And in the 4th, Kobe was going to the hole and got to the line a bit.

I don't mind the shots he took, despite the misses. It's just he fucking misssed almost all of them. Was ridiculous. Some of his passes were boneheaded, though.

intangibles, motherfucker
RealGM Bulls fans are saying the Bulls should bring in Fisher just to teach Rose what he knows. Fucking idiots.

How to launch more 18 footers on fast breaks.

But real talk he could probably teach Rose a thing or two on how to be a leader. It always feels like Rose just blends in with that team even though he is by far the best player on it. Just based off what i see during games. Who knows what he is like behind the scenes.

Personally, I would have liked to seen him pass up some shots and just keep feeding it to Bynum, who was having an amazing game after all. He doesn't have to stand around dumbfounded if he's not shooting, there's other things he could do. But on a night like this where he goes 3 of freaking 20, you just got to pass it up more, especially considering he missed 6 of those 20 shots in the final 7 minutes of the 4th quarter. (I know, hindsight and all, but it was clear that he was off the whole night)

Hell even when Dirk was on his horrible stretch I didn't want him to take shots. Sometimes it's better to be a decoy than keep shooting, especially for players like Kobe and Dirk, who will always get defensive attention, no matter how bad of a shooting night they have.

But yeah, those TOs really were the reason they lost anyways. Some of those TOs were just ridiculous.
