Bulls' fans hoping for a Boozer amnesty need to be prepared to be disappointed. Rose won't be back until just before the playoffs (if we make it) and Deng is going to miss the first 2 or 3 months of the season recovering from the wrist surgery he should have had 3 months ago. Boozer will be the Bulls' only offensive weapon for most of the season.

They knew that call would have decided the series (2 FTs+ball=ATL win & game 7 in ATL) but didnt have the balls to go through with it in Boston.
Even though the Daniels foul was clear and blatant, they know they have to be more liberal in the playoffs so they were regretful the moment they blew the whistle.

Basically they called the foul thinking it would just put the Hawks in the bonus. When they found out what the rule actually was, they lied and said it wasn't inbounded yet since they didn't want to decide the game. You have to make the right call, but it's not like NBA refs are known for their integrity.

The worst part is that if they hadn't called the Daniels foul, Joe would have had an easy 2 because he had an open lane to the basket on the inbounds.
It was literally the worst possible thing that could happen to the Hawks. Don't call the Daniels foul and its tied & potential OT. Call it & give them the FTs they deserve and they likely win. Instead, they got something completely against the rules and lost.
