It was clearly a play on the ball but I'm ok with it being a flagrant, though if the roles were reversed he'd be told to walk it off. It was pretty tame as far as dirty plays go.
Also being busted open means nothing. I'm tired of people trying to escalate fouls by considering damage. If you get hit on the wrist it's a foul, if you get hit on the wrist and then lose your balance and sprain your ankle it's still just a foul.
The only time the effects of a foul should be considered is when it's obviously dirty like Bynum to Barea connection or Metta elbow to Harden. Wade bleeding shouldn't change a foul. Pau gets cut up every other game and shouldn't turn a foul into a flagrant.
