GTA IV ENB does large scale, distant things really fantastically, but as soon as you get close to something - like the ground - the illusion fails because of the low res textures.

That legitimately looks like a photograph.

I finished Leon and Chris on 360 when it came out, I bought the PC version just so I could finish Wesker and Ada.

Mostly Ada. I do love Ada.

Hey, for those taking HUDless screenshots of Need for Speed: Most Wanted, are you using the Toca camera mod or is there another fix to remove the HUD?

If the toca mod still only works with older versions I may download the older files but I'd rather just use the origin install.

It only works with older versions. I bought both Hot Pursuit (steam) and Most Wanted (Origin) and NEITHER of the updated versions have a workable no-hud solution.

Is GTA4 heavily reliant on a beefy CPU in order to run decently? Despite upgrading my GPU the game still runs really poorly.
Not 100% sure but i heard that Gta 4 only uses one or 2 cores of your CPU.
basically, qoad cores are gimped to only one core.

GTA4 in general is also very badly optimized for pc.

never played it on pc so

Sethos or Kylen could explain it better then i probably can.

It is.

But like others said it's poorly optimized for PC.
I think sli doesnt even work with it.
You need to change the sli bits with nvidia inspector just to get it working properly.

I didn't have any nearly as much fun with Most Wanted last year as I did with Burnout Paradise in 2008.

Step backwards for Criterion, as far as I'm concerned. Not that I don't think Most Wanted was good, because it was great. It's just not Burnout, though it wants to be so badly.

That said, I do understand why EA is forcing Criterion onto their flagship racing franchise, because now it's the most interesting it's been in quite some time.

But I want my Burnout.

Black 2 for next-gen with a PC port would be fine, too.

I'm a stranger to the racing genre. These are pretty much the first 2 racing games I've played more than 30 minutes since Mario Kart. Hot Pursuit is pretty generic. I like the fact that Most Wanted has this sort of open ended sandbox style where you can do what you want, when you want. Perfect for the exploring screenshotter in me. I just wish I could get out of my car and walk around. Why are there no people? There are cities full of cars and buildings but NO PEOPLE.

I have a feeling it's EA pushing for all these annoying social features too.

While I'm here, more screenz.

Don't know what's going on with that really weird vignette...

Hey guys, I wanted to get some opinions.

I took this shot a while ago, have always really liked it, but theres some heinous banding in the sky. I decided to try something out to see if it was a good enough fix, but I'm not sure how I feel about it, drop some opinions on me.

Edit: I updated the image below with what I feel is a slightly better solution

Do you think the corrected one looks too grainy? I can't decide which I think looks better.

Do you think the corrected one looks too grainy? I can't decide which I think looks better. I don't think either option is particularly great.

Second is far, far preferable.
