Going through Dolphin, I discovered that there were custom filters when using OpenGL, and I got around to playing with it. Here are some of the better pics I randomly snapped in Luigi's Mansion.
(All are 1920 x 1080 with either 4x or 8x SSAA)
A much more subtle version of this shader could potentially look nice.

I can see that. I personally LOOOOVE it's art style, but do wish it had better texture resolution. The game's graphics don't seem to be touched much from the console version. It has some great faces though! And SweetFX works miracles sorting out the levels.

Yeah, thanks Unreal Engine for the most awful texture streaming engine on current genIncreased resolution just increase the distance of higher res texture drawing.
I had always wondered why the textures in Dishonored got so much nicer when I was testing out SGSSAA and the like. What a weird quirk!

I was looking at that first picture and thought "well hell, that's unfortunate that even downsampling from that resolution theres a lot of stubborn aliasing. Ah well, I'll hold off on Dishonored for a while."
Then I scrolled down and went "Oh! Okay! Yeah alright great! I'll try that out soon!"

That's not an effect caused by downsampling. That's the game's LOD.

More on topic - having anti-aliasing as a yes or no is so stupid.. I mean just looking at the screens it doesn't have a massive effect. If my pc can push it farther let me

Let me get this straight. You are rushing for time so you have to use imgur which is like 10 seconds faster for 2 images as jpegs compared to to pngs on a decent host listed in the OP which makes a world of difference in the image quality.
But you are able to come back and respond 11 minutes later?
Did I get that right?

That's Stallion, though, and I for one agree with him. The OP is pretty clear. We just love really clear shots, is all.
I think we've all done it at one point or another. Posted undesirable shots, that is. And subsequently been grilled for them.

I'll never understand why people would get offended at something like that, in a game that features dismemberment.
I think I almost got banned for yelling at a guy on the Ubisoft Forum because he was offended by all the profanity in Far Cry 3. I was like LOLOLOLOLOL
You should let them know, they seem receptive to the community on their streams. And the game is pretty fun, worth checking out.

EDIT: Nope...
EDIT 2: Actually, I was right. Set your desktop resolution to whatever you want to downsample to, then make the window MAXIMZED, then press ALT ENTER.

You can't change it in the program. You have to set your resolution at the control panel level . Then when the program starts, maximize it. Take screenshots using print screen and modify/save them using paint. FRAPS colors screenshots incorrectly if you use a non default windows color management settings like I do.
EDIT: Oh wow, that ALT enter trick is a timesaver. Now I don't have to crop pics.
