The 6 7 and 8 seeds are pointless in the west, just like the playoffs in general are pointless out east.

That kind of reasoning gives away the level of the team you've supported the past few years.
Sure enough, the Lakers were 1 game above the 5th seed last season.

The past has nothing to do with it. GS, Hou, LA or Utah or Dal are all fodder this year.

Same as everyone out east not named Miami.

Trying to decide if Mike James would be an upgrade for us or not. I know that he's garbage, but, well...

Move G-TYME to PG. I think he's the future of all positions anyway. I'd call him the second coming of Magic, but please, G-TYME is the first coming of NBA player 2.0.

Thats arguable.

James had better scoring numbers and PER, Damon had better assist numbers.

This 8th seed isnt upsetting shit. Especially now that its a 7 games series instead of 5.

Everyone said that back then about the Nuggets upsetting the Sonics.. A Sonics team that was destroying the league for the most part.

Your GM should be doing everything possible to move down and pick Burke.

Lack of Burke talk from IWMTB is kind of stunning. An underrated PG prospect with great college stats that's probably going to go like eight and he doesn't even reflect on the possibility...

A top 16 playoff regardless of conference is an interesting idea but ultimately you get the same results.

1 MIA
16 Utah
8 NYK
9 Brooklyn
5 Den
12 Chi
4LAC
13 ATL

7 Indy
10 GS
6 Mem
11 Hou
3 OKC
14 Bos
2 SAS
15 LA

At least we don't get shitty conference finals and MIA is forced to play 1 good team in either LAC or Denver

some game last month IWTMB and I were discussing if Burke could reliably get into the paint in the NBA, he's rising fast tho (in Chad Ford's chat going on right now he's saying that GMs are starting to like him and that he could get Top 5 consideration the further he gets in the tourney)

I think the Jazz go with McCollum if he's available

Burke is stronger than almost any guard his size that I've seen come in the league though, and it would be stupid to go for a scoring guard like C.J. McCollum....do they want a Mo Williams replacement?

It's probably best to just pretend the East doesn't exist and enjoy the awesomeness that will be the Western playoffs.

The 4-5 first round matchup will be epic, and the semis and finals will be great as well.

I'm hoping OKC ends up with a Rox/Ws first round followed by the Clips in the second. Avoid Denver, SA and the Grizz until the WCF if at all possible.

The Lakers are making the playoffs.

But they could also win some of the games I have them losing.

It really comes down to the April 2 game, and the Mavs aren't winning that one.

LA is much more likely to lose to Minny, Sac, Dallas, Nola or GSw than they are of upsetting the bucks, Grizz, Clips, SAS or Hou.

The team is a mess. I'd say the 8th seed could be any of those 3 teams.

If the Jazz can pick up one more of those wins and the Lakers slip one, the Jazz get in due to the tie-breaker scenario. Still, I've accepted that the Jazz aren't making the playoffs.

If Burke is available when the Kings pick they should take him and run. He actually has the mental fortitude and balls to play decent ball in Sacramento, you can't say that for most players.

The Lakers are making the playoffs.

Instead of a race to playoffs this is a true stumble to the post season.

It´s a joke, none of those teams are significant, and there´s a probability that either one of the thre will be swept in the first round by the Spurs or OKC.

Bottom seeds in the west haven´t been this shitty in a long time. Remember when you had to win 50 games or so to get in?

The funny thing is it's not because the east has gotten better, either. The league as a whole is garbage outside of about six total teams. The superteam era has ruined basketball.

Doubt they go pg

The only other player that makes sense on that cluster fuck roster of theirs is Alex Len. I'd take Burke over Len.

Also think there is a good chance Bennett will fall to you if we don't take him. You guys need a stretch 4 and he's easily the best one in this draft.

Looking back at past NBA championships, it's crazy to think that there have been only 8 unique champions since 84. That's almost 30 years. In the same time frame, the NFL has had 14 unique champions, the NHL has had 15, and MLB has had 19.
