Yeah, it's pretty much Leverage with unlikable sociopaths. Big math guy is the only likable character.
They're not even trying, (compared to Leverage) to show that the characters on Scorpion are just nerds that people don't understand.

I mean even BBT does a better job at making spergy nerds look sympathetic.

Why were there revised Nielsen ratings for this week?
I thought the "bug" was already considered fixed.

Scorpion is actually pretty crappy. I usually don't give Kurtzman/Orci shit for anything but I feel like they really just put their names on this to collect paycheques this time around.

Kurtzman and Orci are spread so thin, they can't be a big influecne in the day to day business of the show.
Won't both be directing blockbuster-level movies next year?
Orci must already be focussing on Star Trek right now.

As what are they credited on Scorpion?
(Non-writing) Executive Producers?

In other news.. NBC is remaking the IT Crowd.. again, for US audiences...
http://deadline.com/2014/10/it-crowd-remake-bill-lawrence-pilot-nbc-853163/

Small glimmer of hope is that it's got some former Community EPs..

What is the state of the original IT crowd?
Why are you saying again? Was there more than one U.S. remake?

There was a pilot made for an American IT Crowd a few years back with Joel McHale starring. I don't think it ever aired though. I believe one of the Community EP's worked on that as well.

That's not what I meant, or we are both missing each others point.

We already had final ratings for Monday to Wednesday.
Let's take Tuesday as an example (SHIELD, Flash, etc):

fast ratings: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...for-marry-me-about-a-boy-returns-down/314686/

final ratings: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...bout-a-boy-chicago-fire-adjusted-down/315328/

So far so normal. But now we have this:
revised final ratings for Tuesday: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...-of-s-h-i-e-l-d-forever-adjusted-down/315994/

Essentially:
Scorpion: C to C+ (i.e. watchable)
Scorpion without Happy: B

I recognize Scorpion is rather bad, but I enjoyed the first two episodes I've watched. It's super cheesy and lets me shut my mind down and just go along for the ride.

Then Happy starts speaking and...I can't. She's the worst. How did she get through a focus group? Is that her real voice or her "acting" voice? Not even her mother can stand listening to her.

If you watch Scorpion straight, like it's a serious attempt at a new 21st century television show, then yeah it's an F for failure

If you watch it as an homage to 80s cheese like The A Team or Riptide, then it's a C
for cheese

That's why I watch it, Happy's voice is terrible...

Oh and I do wonder if they thought they could actually get away with the "inspired by the real life of Walter O'Brien" thing as if no one would check and find that Walter O'Brien is basically full of crap.

I fucking hate the practice of casting grown women as little boys. It's creepy.

It being a Peter Pan tradition has to be the only reason for it at this point.

- Deadline: ‘The Walking Dead’ Ratings: Zombie Series Bites Off New Cable Record In Live + 3 Results
Bursting the previous record set by last year’s WD Live + 3 results, the S5 debut added 5.086 million total viewers via DVR to the 17.3 million of Live + SD. That total of 22.372M makes the 9 PM October 12 broadcast the most watched non-sports telecast in cable history. The October 13, 2013 Season 4 debut had 20.2 million total viewers when the 4.1 million from Live + 3 results were added to the 16.1 million of the Live + SD ratings. That 2013 result is actually what put WD in the top spot viewershipwise for the first time as it unseated previous throne occupant the Disney Channel’s High School Musical 2. Back in 2007, HSM2 added another 1 million viewers in Live + 3 to the 17.2 million who watched its original airing on August 17 that year. But that all feels so pre-walker now doesn’t it?

In terms of the key demo, the WD S5 premiere added another 3.537 million in Live + 3 results. When combined with the Live + SD numbers that makes 14.523 million. Another record for the series based on the Robert Kirkman co-created comics and another WD top spotter.

Around the world the Season 5 opener of The Walking Dead saw a 45% increase over its S4 debut, according to Fox International, who handled the show globally.

Also, Thursday night numbers from TVbtN

Because last week Nielsen caught a calculation error that it had been making since March. These new revised numbers are the numbers Nielsen is coming up with after fixing the calculation error.

Supposedly, Nielsen's going to give us corrected numbers going back to fall premiere week, but not for the time between March and September.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
Watching the latest SVU, I will not be surprised if it gets cancelled this season. So stupid.

It's based on the Elliot Rodger case, and the perp's name is Holden. Real subtle.

I don't like watching SVU anymore. It's boring. Like most of their cases are taken from the headlines now.

Looooooooooool are you for real

No joke.
The cold open involves Holden (like a fucking brick) filming everything, and ranting about how women always go for "jerks" and never him (basically, an exact copy of what Elliot Rodger said). He goes around weakly stabbing women he knew when he was a teenager, but it took a while to find him because they didn't recognize him because he was shy and likely autistic. He does end up killing a couple, then killing the husband of a teacher he had a crush on, and it ends with him getting a sniper bullet to the brain after the blonde officer attempts to talk him down

Oh and there's some sub-plot with Benson and her adopted kid that was so boring I didn't care.

And I thought last week's episode with Not-Amanda Bynes was silly

SVU without Elliot constantly on the verge of crushing some pedophile is worthless.

I'm surprised the show has managed to last an additional four seasons without him.

Ah, thank you very much. I missed that the revision was for last week, and not this week.

I knew about that part, but thank you as well.

I remember one time they RIPPED the story of Anna Nicole Smith's death and it was fucking bad.

I too also miss Elliot. I think nearly all the cast members of the original SVU are all gone now.

Christopher Meloni actually recently said he wouldn't mind appearing again.

After his show getting canned, can't blame him but he needs to break away from SVU.

Also, I saw this week's SVU and yes, it was so stupid, I miss Donal Logue, his stint wasn't that bad.
