Free agents aren't going to go work for peanuts, and they are not even guaranteed a chance to win with the Heat. The Heat will continue to get older, while the rest of the league gets better. Not 4 not 5 not 6 my ass. The dream is over Miami. Only old vets who are on their last leg would take a 2 mil contract to play there but that's about it.

Melo in his prime doesn't want to hear that shit. So teams are paying these younger role players up the butt, because there aren't a lot of prime time players willing to move around.

Wade and Bosh are fools for taking cuts. Fools. I can name you 4 teams in the West that can beat the Heat in 6 every year.

James, Wade and Bosh met last Wednesday, but they walked away from the meeting only knowing that James wanted a max contract. Wade and Bosh expressed a commitment to remain with the Miami Heat, but James was unsure.

James did not ask or suggest that Wade and Bosh opt out of their deals or take lesser salaries to allow the Heat to add other top players, according to the sources.

Bosh and Wade are intent on returning to Miami, but neither of them knows what James will do.

"It's not a done deal," said one source, when asked about James' return to Miami. "That's for sure."

James was similarly noncommittal in 2010 before he eventually signed with the Heat.

Nothing really. With Lebron at the max and Bosh and Wade near what they want, there is no way to improve that roster. Lebron either has to suck it up and try again with the basically the same team, take much less and convince Wade and Bosh to do the same, or go to another team. Everyone assumed the big 3 were opting out to take less, but Lebron wanting the max (which he has more than earned) throws a monkey wrench into that (as well as Bosh looking like he wants more than what the initial rumors were)
