Xbox just bleeding money to make Gamepass work

Its way better to buy games to support studios than pay a dolla to play them

Are these the first titles that are 90+ metacritic to launch day and date on Game Pass since Forza Horizon 5 and MS Flight Simulator 2020?

Xbox just never loses

Also oblivion is at an 86 but only with 7 reviews. I thought it'd be at 90 by now

Aren't those also Steam games and most of the games on that list? I'm pretty sure far more people are playing Exp 33 on Steam than GP.

You know exactly what he meant. Game Pass is part of the reason for the fall of Xbox. It doesn't mean his Xbox suddenly doesn't work but the Xbox brand is dying.

There are many factors for this including Play Anywhere but Game Pass conditioning people to not spending money on games isn't sustainable and is definitely a factor.

I did indeed buy FH5 but I'm not sure how that will help save the brand. Them putting their big games on competing platforms is simply one more reason for people to not buy into their ecosystem.
Xbox hardware is dying because people don't buy Xbox hardware in great numbers. Even at its very best it was beaten by playstation and the market is effectively set now.
Gamepass isn't conditioning people not to spend money on games - it is conditioning them to spend a small amount of money every month on games.

And some people wonder why the comments were what they were in the other gamepass thread.

Doing yourselves no favours.

That you donning the clown mask? I'm evidently refering the console here chucklenuts. Not "gaming".

Microsoft is making money off the Xbox brand, though how much is difficult to ascertain. Not from console sales though, and it doesn't look like they are breaking even overall
Where would those exclusives have come from? They didn't have the first party setup for that.

What major third party game could they have secured as an exclusive to drive major sales in the Q4 2020 - Q4 2021 timeframe?

.
Microsoft have a great deal of first party publisher's, although it is difficult to tell without outside knowledge considering they are working on exactly zero console exclusives. Even the Atari VCS of 2020 has at least 3!

After spending a huge amount of money for acquisitions? After seeing gaming revenue rise to significant levels?

There's nothing in his post that insinuates that.
only the whole point of the thread...but Ok

Wtf is this thread? Blue Prince launched on PS+ Extra as well. As for Expedition 33, well, unlike on Xbox, it actually sold copies on PS5. Not to mention that MS did Expedition 33 dirty by shadow dropping Oblivion Remaster a couple of days before its launch.

If you're so desperate to praise Xbox, come up with better reasons cause this ain't it.

that's great I'm looking forward to playing these. if devs of these games knew their games would be received so well would they still put it on game pass?

Clair Obscur is great. It will probably take me a couple months to get through it. So, instead of renting it for $40, I bought it to own for $45. Also, that lets me play it on PS5 Pro.

This is too much.
You don't have to agree with me but I don't wish personal attacks.
get off the internet.

And my opinion about gp being bad for the industry is common. Buy the games you like and support the developers
It's just fun my man. I don't take anything seriously

More pathetic gaslighting from the gamepass marketing team (or delusional fans, but nobody is that stupid).

Stop taking gamers for idiots!

Why is there such a need to justify and exclaim the virtues of Gamepass? Never mind, I'll answer my own question. It's console war mentality. We associate GP with Xbox, and it's been PS vs. Xbox for decades. A "victory" for GP means a victory for Xbox - in some people's minds, anyhow.

To me, it's just a damn subscription service. How people can feel allied with it on an emotional level, I find hard to fathom.

What else is there to hype up, with regards to the Xbox platform?

By the time I'm done with Oblivion, it's Clair Obscure.

By the time I'm done with Clair Obscure, it's Doom: The Dark Ages.

By the time I'm done with Doom, it's the Xbox Summer Showcase with even more stuff announced for GP.

it's worse for me
avowed
then blue prince
then doom
then clair obscure
then oblivion (it should get a lot of fixes by then)

and of course there are south of midnight and atomfall which are good games that I'd play too

incredible game pass!

lol gamepiss is a failed experiment and it cost you the plastic box you built your identity around for more than a decade.
let go of the shilling. not even phil cares anymore.
Xbox consoles would have died long ago without Game Pass. It was more a lease on console life.
