SPOILER TAG ALL PREVIEW DISCUSSION

It really wont be the same for any other shows besides Lost and 24.

So, that promo spoils a few things for next week:

- Jack is shot by Chloe near the shoulder.
- Jack is seen crawling out of a crashed ambulance - this must be after being shot
- Jack is on the floor being punched in the face by a man who looks similar to Gary Oldman. And considering Oldman was nominated by FOX for a guest appearance Emmy for the 24 finale, it could well be him. But probably not. :lol

OMG that was some of the most adrenaline pumping action goodness i have ever seen. Jack in total Iron Man garb was so goddamn badass. Everything about that scene was amazing. You could make a million awesome .gifs out of Logan's horrified reactions. Itzen was even more brilliant than usual.

Loved that Jack completely fooled Logan with the kidnap and bug trick again. Oh Charles, you never learn. :lol

Suvarov being the big bad is so ridiculously awesome in that cornball 24-way. The moustache twirling from both him and Logan was hilarious. Can't wait to see what Jack tries to do.

Logan being a scared little bitch in the car was beautiful.

I'm not sure if I'm going to buy this wound that much, though, as an experienced operative such as himself would surely be able to patch it up in ten minutes with some common supplies? I realise this is where the drama is going to come from for Jack fans in the next two hours, though, so I don't expect this to happen.

What an episode. What a fucking episode.

Holy fuck.

Just perfect...perfect...perfect. No more taking any shit from anyone.

Fuck yea I'm going to abduct a former President by marching straight up to his bulletproof secret service car, standing on the hood and glaring down at him. I'm going to kill you in five seconds if you don't tell me the name. 5. 4.

I have no time to provide you with a fancy fight sequence. Here's the villain lying on the ground with a sword in his chest. Enjoy!

Oh, Chloe. You're such a disappointment. You had so much promise. Remember all those jokes that go like "if everyone just listened to Jack, the show would be called '2'?" You were the last hope, but even you are playing out like nearly every other CTU director to date. Hopefully you'll redeem yourself in the next two hours.

Thank you, 24 writers. You're doing this show total justice by ending it the way it should. THANK YOU!

Just saw it.
IT WAS FUCKING MADE FROM PURE AND CONCENTRATED ESSENCE OF WIN.

Fantastic fucking episode. It was disappointing that Lazarevic's death was off-screen, but that sweeping reveal was hilariously awesome.

Lazarevich was bad dude from Uncharted 2.
Novakovich is from 24.

:lol

I actually like the Russian massacre happening off screen. While I'm sure it would have been cool, I don't think it could be nearly as cool as the action sequence that exists in my head after seeing the gruesome aftermath.

I know that, but it's the same actor :P

Yeah. That's one of the things that made Nina's escape in Season 3 even more awesomererer. Definitely one of my favourite movie techniques. Cut to the aftermath, leave the audience to make up for it.

Fuck, that was one amazing episode. The kidnapping scene was just... perfect.

I'm not going to watch the preview, don't want anything spoiled for the finale. I can't believe there won't be any more 24 after that. :(

I completely agree. Having it happen off screen just turned Jack into some sort of mythical being of vengeance exacting his reprisal upon those who have wronged him and his friends.

Revenge Jack is the best kind of Jack.

Jack should've taken an American flag with him.

I wonder if the the Russian Massacre was filmed, but had to be cut for network censor reasons.

You mean the same network that is evidently okay with Jack torturing and slicing open the stomach of a guy to extract a sim card?

I wonder, if the show was picked up for next season, would they have had a backup censored scene? I kinda think that they're just going balls out and not caring since this is the final season.

After 8 seasons of taking shit from everyone including the very own government and people he served...yeah, you just gotta snap at some point. His wife, his dearest friends, his lovers, gets tortured countless times, had to fake a death, gets sent to China for torture, etc. I mean come on, it's time for some retribution!!!

Such an awesome episode, the best sequence ever, not just on television, but perhaps on any medium. Even Solid Snake or Daniel Craig's James Bond couldn't look as threatening and badass as Jack Bauer. Charles Logan's expression looked like he wasn't just going to hell, but somewhere even scarier, gotta give the actor credit. Holy crap did they pull it off so well.

So what happened to Kim Bauer? Jack completely forgot about her, didn't he. Well, he's in killing mode now, no one (hopefully not even Kim) can stop him.

Did Jack kill Logan? I missed the episode due to my 4 hour Spanish 2 class last night. :lol

WATCH IT, AND YOU WILL WITNESS THE MANLIEST EPISODE EVER MADE.

This episode defines the 4chan term "GAR".
Gar - A term used towards male characters and individuals who are so overwhelmingly manly that your own masculinity is absolutely *buried*, leaving you naught but a whimpering, swooning girl-child before them.

reading this reminds me of the very end of season 6. Say what you want about that season but the last 15 minutes + the silent countdown was some of the best 24.

ok guys, i gotta ask because im honestly too afraid to read most of this thread.. so let's keep this simple... is this a good season or not?

First half - Decent
Second half - Fuckwin
Short version: Yes

although a long time 24 fan, i haven't taken part in the discussions here because noteworthy things already get commented on enough, this time however i really want to burst out and vent on the awesomeness that this show is - this episode really blew my mind, it was incredible in so many ways and such a great fanservice, i haven't being entertained on such levels in years (frequent moviegoer that i am) literally grabbing my chair and wishing out loud that this would never end :D

the scene with russian diplomats after the man was there was especially fun - let your imagination go wild on how the action went down :lol
