rofl that shit was whack. It's almost like they injected that shit in after they realized that everybody was fuckin' hating her. After but a few short weeks. They do it all the time in Ugly Betty.

NOOOOOO Not the Billdozer

Honestly, unlike other moles that were just random and nonsensical this one actually makes sense. Of course someone who tried to change their identity couldn't just get a job with CTU, it would have had to have been very professionally done.

On the other hand, why in the world didn't she just have her terrorist friends kill the guy the moment he showed up...

It makes sense when you think about it though. She's a redneck with a prison record. She couldn't get a job with CTU without help.

The end was really disappointing.

A mole inside CTU? Again?

Agreed.

If 24 hadn't already jumped the shark tonight would've been the night that it did. They'll never be able to top the reveal that President Logan was evil, so they need to give up on having moles.

Chloe fixing the CTU systems in like 45 minutes had me cracking up too.

It was a good episode, compared to the rest of this season. Still, the overused mole plot device just brings it down a notch.

Another thing that brought it down was the section with Jack. How long were they under attack? Wouldn't the enemies have flanked them earlier?

Jst wanted to say i loved this episode and i love this season of 24! We had like wat? 3 stale episodes this season? I think 1-6 were good 7-10 boring and 11-13 have been excellent. Thats a good count by my standards. So for me S8 = S3 so far.

Haha another fuckin mole. As funny as it is for them to be goin down that territory again, I'm almost glad she is because that plotline was boring as fuck and going nowhere. Her scenes previously didnt hint to this at all....which is almost a bad thing since it makes the twist seems thrown in there arbitrarily. I mean the old bf dude was pinning her to the wall and she was cryin like a baby, giving into his demands. Why fuckin help that guy with the robbery and not just take care of business early on. In fact, I would have preferred she did that, and have that be the reveal she had a true dark side.

You would think that the writers when sittin in their rooms brainstorming this shit would kill plotlines like this early on because of the ridiculous abundance of moles in 24 seasons, but whatever. Good episode otherwise, and Renee back in the mix will lead to some interesting shit. Finally the season is looking up. And obviously there will be a showdown with Dana and Freddy Prince, which might actually be entertaining do to all the setup with their relationship.

At least now battlestar fans know why Starbuck was cast here. No way she could stay a weakling forever, ha

Knowing that there's like 12 episodes and that there's some bat shit crazy plot twist going to happen, I'm gonna guess this...

Dana = mole

my guess is that she's working for the terrorists or something. probably placed a call asking for an EMP explosion instead of a regular bomb explosion so that she can survive and continue helping them out somehow

.....that's not TOO far fetched right??

Almighty_Chocobo said:
Highly unlikely. Way too much emphasis has been put on her character so far this season (with the whole ex-boyfriend angle that everybody hates). She simply doesn't have the time between doing her job and dealing with that to converse back and forth with the terrorists. It is odd, though, that she even has a position at CTU. Certainly they would have conducted a thorough background check that would have turned up her past.

What a way to end the show.

Because that was the last episode. It was hard enough to take 24 seriously, but thats it. They lined up every damn shark in the world and pole vaulted over all of them. They cant redeem themselves from this.

Cant fox afford a decent writer? Because this entire season was written by a 12 year old on his lunch break.

Fucking hell, Im pissed off that 24, a godamn institution, was ruined this way. One thing is a bad season, another is THIS on top of a bad season.

Also, I keep calling Renee Audrey

And another mole? Sigh.

Lastly, can we get a .gif of the snicker Hasting's face when he hears "we have power to com" after Chloe fixes the computers. Priceless.

Just watched on the west coast. This is probably the second dumbest thing 24 has ever done, right after
making the leader of the Season 5 illuminati group Jacks brother in the next season
. It comes across as lazier in action though, such a blatant attempt at a saving throw by the writers to try and salvage this seasons Scrappy character. Combining this with the recurring mole in CTU is just kicking us when we're down. Just should have ended this show with season 5.

I like how all the arab dudes are lovin them some american blond women this season too haha. Even the dude from season 2 fell victim to some California girl

Overall a pretty good episode.

Like someone said earlier - is easily the longest firefight in 24 history! Maybe the standoff with Nina holding Jack hostage in Season 2 is up there...

As for Dana, she's a shitty character and when they revealed her as the mole I was surprised for sure. I don't mind the mole concept - it's vintage 24 and something you get used to seeing. I was rolling my eyes when she killed that dude since you could see it coming a mile away.

Season is (hopefully) on the way up. They've really made a lot of good progress over the last two episodes and the next one looks really good as well.

Hold on hold on.

There's no way I'm going to make sure my efforts went unnoticed so I'm going to be a bitch and REPOST because I just read through the thread and I was the ONLY one who called it I'm pretty sure. I feel like such a badass right now.

Ugh @ Starbuck being the (a? Watch Arlo and/or Prinze Jr be in cahoots too) mole. Saying "welp at least we didn't guess the mole!" isn't a good excuse when the means to the surprise – a horrendous, unrelated sideplot lasting 13 episodes – were shitty.

Archaix said:
Well, there was that tiny fact that she went to kill somebody who threatened to reveal that she has a criminal past and an assumed identity that she used to get a CTU job she shouldn't have had.

That little thing.

We were just all too busy hating how horrible everything about that plot was to realize it wasn't a sub-plot. No, we thought. There's no possible way this matters. Get it over with and move on with the important stuff. But they got us, didn't they. Yep. Good job 24 writers. You made us hate the main plot instead of a sub plot.
I agree.

Everything was going perfect until the mole reveal. I mean, c'mon CTU. You guys have the worst screening of anyone in the universe. Dana has a fake name, a criminal past, and ties to the terrorists, and all she probably had to do to get the job was put some blocks in the correct sized holes.

Loved the long gun fight but those stupid rookies had death coming to em. "What Jack? Listen to you? Nah, you're wron...uggghh!!! I died".

I see it from an alternate viewpoint where it made no sense whatsoever that Dana was able to get a strategically important job at the New York City CTU with a secret past plus her assumed level of competence (which appeared from Episode 1 until now to be very low).

Dana having terrorist contacts makes a lot MORE sense in that sense, although it makes no sense why Dana was having all those problems with Kevin if she was a counter-agent for a crew of Made-Up-Arabic-Nation security forces.

Should have just got that suicide bomb kid to take Kevin out if you had contacts like that, Starbuck.

Dana is the mole, working with the terrorists lol

Incoming reveal: Dana is the head of these terrorists who works for the Bluetooth Illuminati led by Zombie Jack's brother, calling it! (or Behrooz)

And just when I thought she just manned and wanted to kill a bitch just to kill that parole officer for being annoying too ... ah well.

:lol :lol :lol That ending was so fucking dumb and stupid in the most hilariously awesome way. I said i'd be glad if she was a mole a couple weeks ago, because her behavior in trying to retain her cover would then actually make a lick of sense. I honestly don't care. At least Katee gets to be a villainous bitch. LMAO.

Chloe had me laughing my ass off for most of it and Renee returning into the fold was badass.

I'm disappointed they rushed through the EMP fallout so quickly.

Would let Tony Parker sleep with his wife
I was trying to tell you guys that subplot shit was going to lead to something and as all nuke seasons go, the rods will be destroyed soon. We need room for the puppet chase. As someone else mentioned, Dana couldn't get a job inside CTU so easy so it's obvious
a powerful group is NOT behind this
Who brought the rods here on their own to sell? The Russian dude did. Speaking of that guy..whatever happened to him after his son got killed? Better yet, why didn't those terrorist pay for em? Where did the money go? I'm confused.

my comment of Dana's storyline being better if she was a mole now has a chance.....just forget about the redneck murder stuff and focus on this!

Chloe saving the day was awesome....especially "i'm not good with praise". Also, wtf? Jack was in a shootout for basically the entire episode and it felt like we barely saw him

still....it was much better then what we have been getting recently (apart from last week), i have hope for a insane end to the season :D

I was pretty sure that was the way the story was heading and then in this weeks episode when she didn't go aloing with Chloe's plan it was obvious she was a mole.

After the mole reveal, I groaned and said to my GF, "The GAF thread is going to hate this..." She actually brought up a good point in that she felt like it at least gave her being so ridiculous over the whole situation some context and motive, so +1 to that train of thought. I wasn't even sure she was still a mole when she killed him -- I just thought she was a former criminal still trying to keep her cover from her boss and that she'd worry about the body later. Once she reached for the phone though, I said, "Don't tell me she's a mole..."

It's disappointing to see them regurgitate the storyline again but there's only so much you can do to keep introducing conflict so I'm not surprised.

Wait a minute

If she is the mole, then what the hell was that whole bit in the previous episode about giving the files to the parole officer about? She was going to volentarily blow her cover? And wait. If she was a terrorist, then why didn't she immediately kill her old BF. Or, if she couldn't do it herself, just call up one of her terrorist buddies and say "We got a problem needing to be taken care of."?

Rather lamely, if what I read is true... "FOX says Gregory Itzin will reprise his role as the oily ex-commander in chief on "24" this season. The current president (Cherry Jones) will reluctantly ask for help from Logan -- last seen taking a knife from his wife in season six -- with the latest international crisis that drives the season."

Booorrr-ing!

Well, I'm hoping the sound of constant machine gun fire would have been noticeable to someone. You know, local cops, dogs, the occasional rogue FBI Agent.

I still can't get over the fact we have BOTH a mole and nuclear weapons in play YET AGAIN.

24 writers are worse than heroes. There. I said it.
