While that stuff is somewhat true, it really came down to the actors. Everyone costs more the longer the show runs and above all else, Baldwin was done with the show. Without him, after this long, it just makes sense to end it.

That doesn't jibe with what he has said. He claims he offered to take a significant paycut for it to continue on for two more seasons. Every time a new episode airs and makes me laugh, I can't believe there will be no more 30 Rock soon. So sad. :(

I knew that when BBT moved, it'd only be a matter of time. I still can't believe how bad the ratings have gotten for 30 Rock.. it's really hard to imagine.

I've been catching up on Season Six in addition to watching this season as it airs, and you guys, I am really going to miss this show SO MUCH. I love all the characters. I'm really happy they got seven seasons and that it will live on in reruns, but I'll miss seeing how much crazier they can make the jokes with each new season.

New episode tonight:
Aunt Phatso vs. Jack Donaghy

When Tracy portrays Jack as a villian in a movie, Jack and Tracy engage in a battle of wits; Liz takes Jack's advice and puts her needs above those of the show; Jenna tries to protect Kenneth from Hazel's manipulation.

This show is heading out to pasture at the top of its game. Tracy besting Jack was epic, but I'm still not a fan of anything Hazel does. I love how Liz laughs at any and all infantile jokes (BOOBIES).

I died at "Get me a black coffee. And by black coffee I mean Sunkist" line.

Put me in the camp that's really glad 30 Rock is going out on a high note.

Last night was great, they're really going out on top with this season. It's going to make me miss this show even more.

I'm certain that there's a conspiracy among comedy writers to downplay 30 Rock because it makes them look like lazy, half-wit bums.

"It made 50 million dollars! In Atlanta!"

This is an impossibly well written comedy.

Last night was my TV debut! In the background of two shots. For a quarter of a second. WHATEVER IT COUNTS.

I like how 30 Rock's movie parodies kind of sneak up on you. Like they're cleverly half-assed.

Hazel sucks, but the rest of the show is pure gold, so I'll live.

I actually think this episode was the best of the season so far. It's probably one of my favorites of the entire show, even. The jokes just worked for me, and the Jack vs. Tracy plot was great.

Last night's episode was hilarious.

Put me in the camp that hates that 30 rock is going off the air... at such a pivotal time too, season 7 might possible my favorite season in the series, though that remains to be seen. I'm probably in the minority here, but I LOVE Hazel... I only wish she was introduced early on :(

Pics! Pics!

If you mean screencaps, I don't have the tools or the technology, but look for a pasty bald man in the audience around when Hazel is fired.

We were told not to bring our cell phones onto the set, so I listened like an idiot (seems like everyone else did anyway). Afterward some of the cast hung around in the hallway to meet and greet. The only person I kinda wanted to meet was Tina Fey (Scott Adsit, Tracey Morgan and Jack McBrayer were the other ones around) and she was beset upon by a gaggle of college-age girls. So not wanting to look too much like an old dork, and also terrified of saying something dumb to her, I settled for just being in Liz Lemon's presence. She is very short. Scott Adsit is very tall.

In summary, enjoy this crappy photo of Tracy posing for a picture with some random girl:

The thing about this show I can't see it going downhill, the writing it just too top notch.

but at the same time I'm glad they are going out on top. Great episode.

I'm surprised they aren't pushing the Kenneth angle more at this point... wonder how that turns out.

The writing on this show is so fucking quick that I have to rewind it on hulu sometimes to catch what they're saying. Like this brilliant exchange:

Hazel: Why don't you make like a woman driver and get lost?

Jenna: Because I'd rather make like the father I never had and stay?

AlphaSnake

...and that, kids, was the first time I sucked a dick for crack
Every joke was a fucking punchline. Hahaha.

They film 30 Rock at Silvercup in Queens right?

Something felt weirdly off-rhythm this week. The pacing was slightly different and it looked visually off too. It was still a good episode though.

Hazel is the worst and I really dislike Jenna. Not even the character so much as Jane Krakowski. Something about her I can't stand. Maybe the pointiness of all her features? I will be very, very sad to have no more Liz and Jack, though. Fuck, Alec Baldwin is the best. His wacky head movements, sexy time eyes, tremendous hair, and orgasmic voice. I will miss it all, you magnificent son of a bitch.

Alec baldwin is amazing in the show.

But I love Jenna too. I like all the characters. Only one I am abit meh on is the hat guy.

Real shame to see this show go. I'd have preferred it to soldier on even without key cast members on the strength of its writing alone. Anything to keep it afloat. I've enjoyed every season; season six especially. Glad it's going out on a high, but it still hurts.

Jenna rocks. For an ostensibly one-note character, the writers have done an amazing job of keeping her fresh and interesting. Jane Krakowski couldn't play her more perfectly.

Every week I fight to enjoy Hazel because Kristen Schaal is so awesome in Bob's Burgers, but she's just an annoying character. Always feels like a distraction from the plot lines and characters I really want to see in any given episode. Very strange, because conceptually she should be great. Hopefully she'll turn around or fade away before the end of the season.

- Todd VanDerWerff for the Onion A|V Club: 30 Rock’s improbable survival highlights the show’s study in contradictions
For most of the history of television, the barrier to syndication—and to profitability—has been 100 episodes. The shows that have made it to that mark are an unusual group. Many were big hits. Some found small cult audiences. Still others just hung on as best they could and never posted numbers quite low enough to be canceled. In 100 Episodes, we examine the shows that made it to that number, considering both how they advanced and reflected the medium and what contributed to their popularity.

I love(d) Hazel. It's a different set of gags they got to play around with.

New episode tonight:
Mazel Tov, Dummies!

An encounter with Dennis spurs Liz and Criss to step up their efforts to start a family; Jack and Jenna reflect on their self-worth; Tracy gets an upsetting medical diagnosis.

If it wasn't there already due to some inconsistencies in the past few years, this season has confirmed 30 Rock as one of the all time greats, imo. It's just so damn likable and full to bursting with enough jokes to put any other comedy to shame.

No doubt, this is one of the few shows that actually has real jokes and not just funny situations/dialogue

I lost it early on when White Dennis high-fived Black Dennis. THE NEW NORMAL!

Jack as Harry Truman/Harriet Tubman was hilarious as well. I'm also a sucker for any flashbacks that involve Liz as a child.

"And I've got a pair you could do something with!"

Hahahaha Black Dennis. It can't be racist because he's a white guy with a black child.

Also, did I miss something? How do Criss and Dennis know each other?

For St Patty's day I think Dennis got an injury and stopped by Liz's place to recover and they became bro-friends.
