This fucking game.

You unlocked a new background! Congratulations!

At least this time they care enough to try to fix the problem not like Halo Anniversary on 360 where we and my friend were never able to play co-op due to horrible lag.

Coop has always been handled with P2P meaning either you or your friend was host. Soooo either one or both of you have bad connections, OR one or both of you don't have your ports set up correctly. NAT Moderate or closed.

Well whatever they're doing seems to be working because I found 2 games in a row last night. First 2 I've found since launch day.

Gives me hope for the future of mankind.

It's interesting that Drive Club has a rep of being a completely broken game, while Halo MCC gets away with having similar issues.

Getting away with? Really? 343 have been hammered over this. Even Ryan McCaffrey has displayed his disappointment 2 weeks in a row on the Unlocked podcast, Kotaku have run 2 separate stories on it and they've most likely had THOUSANDS of returns both digitally and physically. They haven't gotten away with shit.

How the hell is it getting away with it?

Probably reviews/games media. This game scored much better than Driveclub with no mention of online woes. On the other hand, Driveclub was reviewed poorly in comparison for its online troubles. Also most threads about colossal game failures this year its the one most point to.

I haven't noticed many threads in here and other forums complaining about it, nor any articles in the gaming press, while Drive Club recieved plenty of both.

There were almost 3 thread on the gaming side talking about the issues. Not including Halogaf thread in community.

Oh, we complained. For sure.

Because Driveclub was delayed for a YEAR and still came out broken
Because Driveclub has been out 2 months and is still not functioning properly
Because Driveclub is a barebones as fuck driving game and STILL has the above

Also, the Driveclub reviews I read barely menioned online woes. They just said it was an average game for people who worry about leaderboards.

I thought Driveclub was rated poor to average for its single player, where overly aggressive A.I, limited vehicles (European dominant), and lacking options/modes resulted in its scoring.

This was much before the networking horrors, which came much after reviews, when the game launched and opened up for the masses. If I'm not mistaken, Driveclub got away with its broken online because reviews did not have the networking issue.

Not sure if it's the same for Halo's MP review, where the SP still carries the game to a high score.

You are correct.

You're not alone.

Removing button combos from Halo 2 is a decade over due

Halo 3 removed them, and Halo 2 Anniversary removed them. Halo 2 Classic should keep its glitches for those that appreciate the added depth and faster pace of the gameplay because of them.

Double shots are really rare, if you have a solid shot and don't miss often, then you're going to do fine. BxR and BxB are the only really prevalent glitches, and neither of them are hard to pull off. Halo CE and Halo 2 have far more interesting close combat encounters because of their button combos, Halo 3 and onward is mind numbingly easy and boring in CQC.

You're clearly not paying attention. Considering you don't own an Xbox One and your general position is that the Xbox One is adored by the media and Sony hated, I can't say I'm surprised you might be a bit tone deaf and lacking some objectivity.

You just can't help yourself can you? lol

Lol... like how you gravitate to all things negative with Xbone?

Its just about every comment

LOL, really? OK. I'm sure that none of you have any skeletons in your closets (which I think you guys do).

Your post history has me staggered you aren't banned.

Having opinions about something like this doesn't equal being banned, bro. If anyone doesn't like my opinions, you can just easily ignore them, no?

It's out globally, testing it now with H2A MP to see what's up.

It will take a moment as others need to update and hop on too.

5 v 4, nice start but it's early yet.

in the grand scheme of things, they're patching this at a fairly standard pace as far as weekly patches go. the problem is that the holidays are right around the corner and... well "ain't nobody got time for dat" is very appropriate.

Definitely finding games faster now, but longer wait times for the matches to start out of the 4-5 I've played. Also had a problem with a random disconnect that all I could do to get out of it was to quit the game.

I kinda wish they would address the simple things, like giving each person playing locally a vote and scaling the reticle in split screen halo 2

Don't feed the trolls ;)

yikes

This is what's known as selective perception.

Complaint threads most definitely do exist, as do numerous complaints in existing threads (Halo OT, MCC OT, this thread, threads on waypoint, etc).

You just only see what causes you discomfort, so perhaps you're a fan of Driveclub (or Sony?) and see the negatives surrounding that more often and more quickly than you see the negatives surrounding this.

Selective perception.

Edit: Also since I don't obviously have an exact count of complaints for both, I will concede that MCC ***MIGHT*** be receiving fewer complaints overall because, while the online has been borked since launch, the single player campaign works just fine. A lot of folks like myself have been diving into that quite a bit while the online stuff gets fixed. Driveclub doesn't have as much of a safety net in that regard. So its issues potentially could have been a much bigger deal for purchasers.

I'd say halo waypoint is getting hit with most of the complaints.

it's like a free fire zone most of the time with complaints, lawsuit threats and the like.

so believe me, no one is getting away with anything.
