The patch made it worse for me. I used to be able to find games fine, but last night I spent about an hour trying searches with no results.

I agree, they need to communicate that a hard reset is a good thing. I don't think it's embarrassing as it's just common for most consumer electronics especially cell phones. But once a week or after a certain time I think the Xbox should warn you or suggest a hard reboot. They also need better patch notes available to be viewed on the Xbox like PS4 has.

I noticed pressing A on the pop-up in game about the update loaded up IE, I guess it was going to show me the bulletin post with the patch notes but I skipped it and returned to trying to play the game.

The console does need a built in patch notes system though I agree.

Hey man...some people respond poorly to those with an obvious bias and an agenda. You're "that guy" in the thread. The one that isn't here out of some sort of genuine concern, but rather the guy who's here booing and criticizing and feigning ignorance because it makes him feel good or justified in his/her biases while crying of persecution.

Expecting people to respond positively to your very clear intentions borders on insanity. "Shuffle off" is probably the best recommendation that can be made. Your post history suggests you'll find more comfort in the PS4 (and maybe Nintendo) threads. You know, platforms you've actually found yourself interested in enough to invest in.

Glad to see more people getting into games. To those still not having luck, hold in there. My game has been improving, and it seems like others seem to now be at the level I was last patch. Hopefully everyone is getting into matches consistently soon, it definitely seems like they are making progress.

So, so far on the new patch, I'm 6 for 1. After having a nice couple matches this morning in Slayer, people started disbanding, and remaining players got stuck. Entering into a new match ended up broken too. I'm trying again now, and things are a bit slow, but hopefully my good streak lasts.

Tips:
- Reboot the game anytime something breaks.
This includes getting stuck in matchmaking before or after a match. Restarts are quick on X1

- Try different playlists
For me, certain playlists for consistently great, while others work rarely or not at all.

- Anytime people start dropping out of games, things usually go south, and you'll likely need a reboot.

I repent for my sins. Just got into a perfectly even teamed 14/12 big team battle match of one flag on Last Resort in Halo 2, had to quit because of a phone call.

I had a good time playing today.
Got into a few big team battle games and a bunch of team slayer matches while playing split screen.
Unfortunately, the teams were usually unbalanced.

My split screen friend and I were matched into a 6 player team slayer game, obviously 3v3 right?
Nope, it put him onto the opposite team and made it 4v2.

But overall, I had a lot of fun! Hopefully in the next couple patches, the game will be all better.
