Nothing surprising here. The survey simply reveals that men aren't generic stereotypes.

Bored shitless last time I went - couldn't wait to get out and go to a regular pub.
This was me last week at a friend's stag do. I'm not opposed to them in any way, they're fun in a way, but it's a complete myth that men enter these places drooling from all orifices hoping to be offered 'extras'.

I would rather go to the cinema or watch a sports game or, you know, meet actually attainable women.

These are all things I have always assumed to be true.

Only 7% dig strip clubs? That's straight up bullshit.

How could such a small percentage of men enjoy wasting tons of money to sit in a room with a bunch of truckers and frat boys with unsatisfied boners?

I don't see how these are surprising.

1. Never been to one.

2. I enjoy online shopping and researching products. Never been to a Coldplay concert.

3. So are a lot of women, economy sucks ass.

4. I don't know many adults who actually sext, if they are interested in another party just go over and do the dirty. I would equate sexting to teenagers more than adults.

5. I don't really watch much sports.

6. Never been drunk

7. Not sure if I agree with this one.

8. Most of the time I would rather get some sleep because I got work in the morning. I am very content not having sex, I am just not that sexual in nature I guess.

1. Yeah, I've been to a few, mainly for bachelor parties. They're nothing special, and largely a waste of money for a couple cheap thrills.

2. Cooking is fun sometimes. I can't stand shopping. Not a fan of Coldplay, but I guess I don't hate them, either.

3. I actually had no idea it was that high...that's sad.

4. I sext with my wife fairly often..one of the 14%!

5. I like watching football, the Olympics, and some MMA/Boxing. I don't really get into baseball, basketball, or others.

6. Depends on the week, for me. I've been mostly abstaining from booze recently, but I just haven't had the taste for it.

7. I don't use them, myself.

8. I definitely do not. It is pretty regular for me though, so I'm not complaining.

The one time I went to a strip club was for a friend's bachelor party - the one amusing thing there was that at one point a girl was actually dancing to Tina Turner's "Private Dancer".

I really don't get the appeal of going to a place that's all look and no touch, especially nowadays with so many screen alternatives - perhaps a relic of a bygone era...

2 and 7 are the only surprising ones, or maybe I'm the only guy on gaf who doesn't know what to do with a moisturizer. I never had any problem with dry, ashy, cracked or itchy skin so when would I ever use it...?

I don't know how old you are, but if I could have my time over I would have started moisturizing young. I do it now and my skin is much better but I can't help but think I could have looked a lot younger if I had been doing it all along.

I never had any of those things you mention, its more to prevent signs of aging

Going to a strip club is like going to a restaurant where you pay to get in and then tip the waiter to show you the food you ordered, but never eat it. I'm not surprised most men don't want to spend money on it.

Strip clubs are great fun if you have the right crew with you. Or if you know how to talk to the strippers, if you go by yourself.

Shopping sucks, especially with females.

1. Going to a strip club to get off is disgusting. If you go with a mixed group to joke around I imagine it could be fun.

2. I love cooking, and Coldplay was a great concert, but I detest shopping.

3. I have a job, but I am underemployed.

4. I have never sexted. I used to have phone sex with an ex, but that was years ago now.

5. I love sports, but most of my friends are in the don't like sports crowd.

6. I don't like to drink much anymore. I prefer smoking, but I do a lot less of that these days.

7. I don't use moisturizer

8. Sex everyday gets boring. A few times a week is good.

I've been to a strip club twice in my life and both times I left feeling completely disgusted and ashamed of myself and my friends. Paying a woman to give me attention is not my idea of fun.

Not surprised by (1). Strip clubs are kind of a once to experience kind of deal, then again when you are obligated by tradition (bachelor's party). Everybody's been, yeah, it's a bit exciting/titillating, but it never lives up to the hype and it's quite boring and a money sink once you actually are there.

I'm shocked number 2 is even in question. All of my male friends (and myself) love to cook, and most of us are pretty damn good. The men in my family take it a step further and have bacon making, sausage making, charcuterie events.

1. Only 7 percent of men really dig strip clubs.
- I have never been to one

2. Men like cooking, shopping, and Coldplay concerts better than strip clubs.
-Duh, except the Coldplay concert

3. 20 percent are unemployed.
-I have a job :)

4. Only 14 percent have sexted recently.
-I do this quite often

5. Not all men like TV sports — not even close.
-Agreed, I don't watch sports at all on TV

6. They’re shockingly sober.
-Well yeah until I go to the club and get fucked up like last night

7. Men appreciate a good moisturizer.
-Never needed it

8. Very few men have sex every day.
-I don't have sex everyday lol, maybe I should the doctor said I need exercise.

What are the benefits of using a moisturizer?

I use it as an after-after shave to remove tightness and keep my face from drying out over the day.

Also with a bit of SPF in it it'll help protect you from the sun for the first couple of hours, just enough to get to the office anyway.

That seems even more disgusting to me.

"Hey Mikey, she making you hard bro?"

:/

Er.. that's not what I mean. I mean guys and girls going together to have drinks and throw around $1 bills. Make the whole thing as superficial as possible. Once it starts to legitimately become about sex I think it gets creepy.

By the way, if you actually look at the infographics, going to a Coldplay concert was specifically graphed. 8% would enjoy it immensely, 21% would enjoy it some, 26% would enjoy it a little, and 45% would not even enjoy it a little.

1. I've never been to a strip club. Don't intend to, especially when I can just watch porn from home. Besides, considering my usual habits of never going anywhere but work, my parents would wonder where I was.
2. I've never listened to Coldplay, they're just a band I've heard of in passing. I'm not really a cook. I do enjoy shopping, but only for things I want, not things I need. I enjoy many things more than going to a place I've never been to.
3. I tolerate my job. It doesn't pay enough.
4. I've never sexted. I very rarely text, period, usually just to tell my parents I'm getting extra hours at work.
5. I enjoy sports somewhat. You'd think I was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan from my jacket and decal on my car's trunk door, but I rarely watch the games, and at the very least, just check for the final score. I don't plan on watching the Super Bowl. The only other sport I pay attention to is the IndyCar Series, and I haven't watched a race in years.
6. I don't drink. Alcohol is the devil!
7. I don't use moisturizer.
8. I'm a virgin.

I'm always shocked when men say they don't like strip clubs..

Getting buzzed with your boys and looking at naked women. How awful.

Not that I'm some sort of strip club hound.. I go once a year maybe if I'm in Vegas or a special occasion.

My hands are really fucking dry, and I got nothing here. :(

lol.. Coldplay

Also, How can 20% be unemployed when the national average is not that high? am I dumb at math?
I guess it was just 20% of that particular poll.

1.- I don't like to pay for having blue balls.
2.- I'd rather listen to Coldplay than having blue balls. And I don't even like Coldplay.
3.- Thank god I'm not in that 20%
4.- Fuck sexting. I will NOT leave any trace of any behaviour that could seriously compromise my future work prospects.
5.- TV sports are meh.
6.- Yes. There's always a good moment to be drunk, but that moment doesn't take place every day.
7.- The fuck?
8.- :(

The only shocking thing is the moisturizer part. Now, that was unexpected.

Wow, ya, sounds like a blast.

I can't wait to drink alcohol around a bunch of sleezy looking guys in a dimly lit bar with bad music and naked women that I can't touch but want money.

Geez, what was I thinking this whole time!

Nooope, sounds like a real shit show.

2 and 7 are the only surprising ones, or maybe I'm the only guy on gaf who doesn't know what to do with a moisturizer. I never had any problem with dry, ashy, cracked or itchy skin so when would I ever use it...?

I know lots of guys that use moisturizer because it's akin to knowing how to taking care of yourself.

For myself, I used to not use moisturizer because of my babyface, but as I'm getting older I'm finding that I have to use a lot of creams so I don't end up looking like a piece of sandpaper.

I stopped needing moisturizers when I cleaned up my diet.

A lot dry skin has its origin in bad nutrition and lack of hydration. Moisturizers will just mask a bad diet.

Well, i hate Coldplay, what a shit music, but love shopping when i have money.

I hate strip clubs yes, but not because it's boring but because i can't leave the place without wanting to bang one of those hotties !!!

I do have sex everyday though.

1. Kinda skeevy, been a few times, but it's not really my thing
2. I like to cook, fuck the other 2
3. Yep :/
4. I used to all the time, but now we live together so it's not needed
5. Never been a sports guy, which seems so bizarre to people in New England
6. Pretty much true, I hardly drink
7. Of course Dry Skin sucks
8. I am one of very few men I guess

I've gone to a Coldplay concert with my brother and my best dude friend.

shit was dope. right at the peak of Coldplay awesomeness.

the yellow balloons dropping from the ceiling all over the stadium, HOOOO FUCK BOY. shit was tight.

i have their live 2003 concert on dvd.

love them.

2. Men like cooking, shopping, and Coldplay concerts better than strip clubs.

You can actually get laid at a Coldplay concert, unlike a strip club. Being okay with cooking and shopping helps in that area as well.

But you can't even touch the women, and they're not always attractive. Plus I'm pretty sure watching naked women wasn't meant to be a social activity.

Used to have this friend whose favorite activity was getting drunk and/or stoned and watching Porn with other people.

Then he'd say to everyone in the room 'I have a huge boner right now, what about you guys?'
