80s style synth-pop/electro synth/cyberpunk music

So, this was a referral from that Barretso track, but I'm really digging the style. It's a bit punchier and breakier than the stuff that traditionally fits into this thread, but I dig it all the same. It's almost like a ghetto version of it... kinda:
WAT - "Kill Kill feat. CS Rucker"

WAT is more like Ghettofunk or some other genre in that direction, although they did make Out Run EP too that is more like this thread's stuff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nvlVsr166u4

If this hasn't been mentioned already, if you guys wanna hear the latest from a lot of the artists mentioned in this thread, check out the Synthetix FM Facebook Group:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/120473901408954/

And tune in to the following show where they play nothing but the latest in synthwave every Sunday:

That artwork is amazing.

Thanks plasmawave, I enjoyed making that cover. That compilation is being sold in a cassette form which comes with a poster of it, if you're interested.

NPR has a stream of Future Club by Perturbator. It's the one he used in his Cyberpunk 2077 trailer awhile back.

I've kind of been a bit here and there with my musical tastes in the past year or so but when I saw this thread I thought it might be for me so I subbed. Now I can tell it's the right place. Thanks for the link!

Amazing. Not crazy about the vocals but I'll take it!

Satellite Young's both EPs have instrumental versions on the EP too :D

Starforce is a friend of mine here from Finland, indeed awesome tracks :D He has a new album coming out that are all collaboration tracks.

I will look out for it, really enjoying his stuff that's on YouTube.

This is exactly how songs sounded in the 80's Japan.

This is amazing, great find. It's nice to see a genuinely 80's inspired J-pop group. They even re-tweeted a link to a Super Hang On song on their twitter :) Love that stuff.

That Perturbator video is a goddamn masterpiece. I feel the urge to consume a psychotropic drug of some kind before rewatching it.

Is there a download for that? Can anyone rehost to Mediafire or something so I can get it at work in the next 30 mins or so?

I bet it's dope.

Looks like Le Matos is making an Akira themed album. https://soundcloud.com/lematos/kiyoko

Kings filth was my shit.

edit: looks like I was wrong and it was just the end theme for a live action akira trailer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1GO-93Nt3c&feature=youtu.be

started off good but it was abit too Trance for my tastes. Akira's original soundtrack would have some killer samples to make some proper dystopian retrowave though :D

True story i was once in Tresor, Berlin's mecca for oldschool techno and in the dungeon floor the DJ played some really amazing Kaneda's theme techno remix.
