While Arcade High's previous albums didn't really appeal to me, the preview track of their new album has really piqued my interest. If the rest of the album has a similar "retrofuturistic disco chiptune"-sound, it could be a winner!

Also, I really dig the cover art.

Thanks for highlighting this! I really liked Pixel Passion. Cool Inc is a great track, hoping the rest of the album is solid.

To add to the great 2016 releases, I'm hoping to see Act 2 from September 87...

Seeing Hayley Stewart on there piqued my interest. Speaking of retrofuturistic chiptunes, did anyone listen to She's latest album Chiptune Memories? I was shocked at how catchy it is.

TWRP posted a new track from their upcoming EP. A sweet synth solo by the one and only Ninja Brian.

I love she! And yes, as most of his tracks, it is catchy.
Also, some old Dynatron albums, this time using Blood Music as label, have just been released.

Bit late to the party on this one but finally got around to listening to it and damn, what an album. There are some really killer tracks in here and they're all a little different.

I think the only tracks that didn't gel for me are '85 Again and One Love. I have nothing against vocals in this genre but I felt the instrumentals generally amounted to something more satisfying. But every other track is awesome, particularly Love Theme, Generation '82 and Seasons of Lust.

I don't mind singing either but love instrumental also a lot more but this album sure sounds good!

Good News: My copy of Carpenter Brut - Trilogy vinyl is supposed to be here Friday.

Bad News: $70 is a punch in the nuts no matter how you slice it, but it's a better punch in the nuts than paying $100+ to a scalper.

Badder News: Robert Parker - Crystal City vinyl sold out while I blinked.

I also received a note from amazon that my Dangerous Days LP has been dispatched should arrive today or tomorrow yay

Congrats, good buy.

I still haven't preordered The Uncanney Valley yet, I'm really torn on getting the purple vinyl (cause it's purple) or getting the boxset cause the sample track from the EP is ridiculous.

Just come to thank all the posters in this thread. Every time I come here even when I was a lurker which was quite recent, I found something I liked(notably Dynatron, Robert Parker, and Makeup and vanity set). Kinda expanded me past the usual we listen too. So I hope to come back often and hopefully post somethings.

You could always get the one with the purple smatterings. It looks quite nice.

Can't listen to it right now as I'm at work but I've been a fan of Dream Fiend for a while. Glad he's finally put an EP out, can't wait to check it out

I got my Carpenter Brut vinyl set. <3

It shipped with a decent seam tear though, I kind of want to send an eMail about it, just based on the absurd price of the thing.

You got it from Amazon?

Mine just shipped the other day. How much did you pay for it? On amazon it was 36 pounds.

Just an fyi this has been used. To the lucky mofo who grabbed it... :p
Twas I who was the Masked Man! :D

It's actually pretty funny karma wise, I only found and bought Lost Themes I this year and was planning on delaying a purchase of II. Now I can at least listen to what I'm missing.

I sent Cru a download code for the FTL soundtrack by Ben Prunty out of thankful respect too.

So anyone have other recommendations for artists/albums similar to Dynatron? Ever since I grabbed that Aeternus album from that bundle a few weeks ago I've probably listened to the album 2 or 3 dozen times. Love it.

A song for reference - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_5llFDqYQM

Sort of a spacey, surreal, synth kind of sound? I dunno.

Maybe a bit of gunship?

And of course you can't beat a bit of the og Jean Michelle Jamme Jarre

Check out Waveshaper, Prius An Sich, Syntax and Droid Bishop.

All go for that space vibe strongly

Yeah, Amazon US.

It was $70.35 after tax, which is p. gross but I suppose that was only $20 more than what Americans had to pay after shipping from the direct release (if I recall).

Zombie Hyperdrive's debut album, Hyperion, is out, and it fucking kicks ass!

I'm sure the synth fans here must have heard his solo track 'Red Eyes'. The album is now out and it rips. Great synth tunes with a lot of sexy guitar work to back them up.

Yeah, it's good.

But I over hyped myself on the preview track (Red Eye) and nothing really topped that one. Oops.

Vinyl release pls.

Just received a delay notice on my Carpenter Brut Trilogy record from Amazon US, I'm guessing they ran out. :(

I hope it materializes in the next six months and they weren't just selling some small assortment from the recent 750 pressings... Motherfucker should be pressed year-round at the rate it sells but noooo

Fantastic release, thanks for sharing.

FM-84 debut album is great so far!

Thanks for pointing this out as well, I've loved every track by FM-84 so far, and to finally see a full album is terrific, great stuff!
