80s style synth-pop/electro synth/cyberpunk music

So I just got a shipping confirmation for my Triology LP from Amazon, it will arrive tomorrow.

Fantastic scribbling from myself there.

hmm, nothing yet here =/

Very strange, maybe they are only getting really limited amounts at a time. It still says will despatch within 2-4 weeks, very strange.

Looking forward to it though, I've got new speakers coming too by Wednesday, wonderful LP to test them out on.

HOME - Falling Into Place

This album is packed with lots of nice short tracks (none of the tracks reach four minutes), some of which are quite cleverly put together. It's all quite laid back but there's a good amount of variety in there.

Reddit AMA with Blood Music on /outrun is live now. Answering questions about the label, music and other crazy crap.

Im not a fan of Reddit but this AMA is nice.

Can't believe Trilogy is on Amazon. Instantly ordered.

Worth every penny.

I was listening to Roller Mobster and I thought that it sounded a bit slow and thought it was a bonus track or something then I realised it is a 44rpm LP. I'll have to remember to move the belt before I play it.

Glad to finally have it in my collection it is rather illusive.

Wilderness was easily my favorite album of last year. I can't wait for this one.
The track "Adolescence" is so effing good it should be retroactively inserted into the film Drive.

The Terminator LPs are shipping by the way, just got my confirmation yesterday. Anything Milan and Refn has been absolute quality so far, I imagine this release will be the same.

My new speakers have arrived along with my glass platter for my RP1 can't wait until im done with work so I can listen to Trilogy in some new found glory.

While Arcade High's previous albums didn't really appeal to me, the preview track of their new album has really piqued my interest. If the rest of the album has a similar "retrofuturistic disco chiptune"-sound, it could be a winner!

Also, I really dig the cover art.

New album from Waveshaper was just announced, comes out in May.

Still haven't heard the track available now, will update with impressions.
Is 2016 the best year yet for Synthwave?

Awesome news! The preview track sounds solid. Also, the cover art looks really good (gotta love that NES backpack and Zapper).

And yes, 2016 seems to be a glorious year for synthwave. With new albums by Perturbator and Lazerhawk on the horizon, all that's missing for the remainder of the year are new releases by Carpenter Brut, Starcadian, Sebastian Gampl and Le Cassette. Fingers crossed we'll hear something from those guys in the not-too-distant future!

Excellent news, Waveshaper's last album was excellent and one of my favourite discoveries from this thread.

Decided to pick up the vinyl, £18 isn't too bad. Haven't heard of Waveshaper before but that track sounded like my cup of tea.
