8bitdo ulitmate wireless controller 2 just dropped

Instabuy. Seems like an upgrade in almost everything from the first one (still a quality controller). Going to asia for a trip. Hopefully can pick one up there.

Needs to be more affordable for me to get into it, $60 is in first party land for price and while they get drifting problems, for me that takes 2 years or so and I have gotten my moneys worth by then. First party quality is still king and the thumb sticks on 8bitdo stuff has always felt "off". Controller fps gamers I've talked too have all have felt the same way.

How?? These are more in line with Pro controllers with feature sets. TMR, extra shoulder and back buttons, hair triggers, 1000hz polling plus charging/connectivity dock. Other higher end chinese controllers like the more pricey Flydigi's are in a similar price range with questionable build quality and QC. Something like this from Sony/Microsoft would be well into the 200's.

I'm trying to buy it, But in the amazon in Italy I only find the ultimate 2c, and I don't want to wait 2 weeks for the delivery, what are the differences?

i mean do you actually LOOK at your controller when pushing buttons or do you look at , oh i dont know, the SCREEN? many games let you change the on-screen buttons to whatever you want.

The price isn't bad when it comes with a charging stand and all the features these controllers have. The build quality is good.

I played Forza Horizon the other day with their older controller, the rumble was super good.

Their stuff is really well-thought out in general.
 
I have had the 8bitdo switch "pro" controller for years now and it still works. Good quality!
 
I'm interested in one of these but I now have a M4 Mac and a switch. My switch pro works with both and doesn't seem like I can get an 8bitdo that does that. I'd like something with analog triggers.
 
I love my 8bithdo Ultimate, but I'm not sure if these upgrades are worth buying another one - since the one I've had works so damn well still.
 
I went for the nuclear option as i wanted one pad that would last the remaining life of my switch, this thing is insane & is packed with features.

They are avoiding the MiFi thing to work with Apple. They don't want to pay Apple. Makes sense pass the saving to the customer. The really old one that has famicom buttons will work on Mac.

That''s good to hear. I've been kind of holding out waiting on Microsoft to release the Sebile controller but a bit disappointed that it's most likely not going to see the light of day until the next gen release of xbox hardware. Don't know if I can hold out that long.
 
I bought one! I just missed when they were shipping withing 1-2 days. White is still available for 1-2 days hipping if people want one. I have 4 of the originals. They have become my go to controller!
 
I had an 8bit controller for the XSX, can't remember the model (it had paddles on the back) and ergo-wise it was really nice, shame then it being wired and also the fact that I had stick drift after only 2 months without heavy usage...

Yeah, this will have hall sticks so stick drift won't be a (easy) thing, but, it left a sour taste and I don't think I'd grab another of their products again soon, maybe I was just curious unlucky but...yeah

I think they have to put Sebile out because these Asian brands are essentially making better knock-offs of their existing controller and it's bad for business.
 
As someone who already can't stand the bright led light on the xbox one / series controller, I think the lights around the sticks would really bother me. I imagine you can turn it off using their software, but I hate having to have softwares running in the background just to turn off some lights, I already avoided some mouses (like razer) because of that.
I also never tried these controllers but I've always been a bit worried about the shape, it looks like it would feel a bit too narrow with the edges being so straight like this. They seem like a decent option outside of these issues, but I don't know.

Since I've been selling off a bunch of Series controllers except my sonic blue one (between input lag and firmware/connection issues that come and go didn't see the point is having so many) and the fact that I haven't bought a black controller since the dualshock 4 v2 in 2016 I'm defo down to try one of these out!

For what it's worth, every configuration I've ever done to an 8bitdo device through their software, it's saved on the hardware itself. You don't need to have it running in the background. This is true for button mapping, wireless timeout configuration, stick sensitivity settings, etc. I imagine it'll be the same with these lights.
 
I have the previous version I use for GFN and have been really happy with it. No reason to get this now but will be going with these guys when it's time for another one.

My 8bitdo Ultimate Wireless is the only controller that has not drift yet , Hall effect proven to be the fix on this . All my others controllers like Xbox Series , Hori Pad FPS , 8Bitdo Ultimate Wired (non hall-effect) had already drifted .

Appears to be using the same lighting tech as the "Ultimate C Wired Controller for Xbox".

It works fine but I turned it off on the Ultimate C after using it for a few minutes. That just a personal choice, but if you like leds on your controllers I thought the light output was consistent for both sticks and not overly glaring/annoying. Hopefully no meaningful impact on battery life, but ill see when they show up.

Also, has anyone heard of a courtesy credit from amazon? I got the black version for free when I ordered it today...the black one had a -59.99 "courtesy credit" applied.

I only bought the OG one a few months ago, but I'm so satisfied that I think I'll get a second one.

I only wish the motion controls would work on PS3, WiiU and Switch emulators.

Is there a promo you've done recently or had something returned/refunded?
 
I'm happy with my gamesir g7 se, any other controller can have problems with other stores or some games but not this one because they pc read it as an official xbox controller that is by far the most compatible controller on windows.
