A small victory for Nintendo. Capcom is a strong force.

Im getting SM64 from a friend so thats a no brainer, plus the nostalgia I have for that game is immense. I WAS a fan of the n64 right when it came out you know :P

If you dont have a thumb strap ... GET ONE FOR MARIO 64 DS! I found the controls to work amazingly well with it. I beat the game and got 120 + stars using that thing. I wish more games took advantage of it. I actually ordered a brand new strap just for my light, looks pretty hott on it too!.

SM64 just didn't control well at all on the original DS, thumbstrap or no, but with the DSL's d-pad, I'm wishing I hadn't sold it :(

This is good news (which I am very, very late to). I still haven't nabbed a DS lite yet. I played SM64 for 20 minutes when the game came out and never played it again because of the controls. It'll be nice to play it on the Lite.

Frys was sold out, they just had a bundle for 150 that had some dumb pac man game or something. Best Buy had it alone for 130 which was fine by me. I wanted to get NSMB anyway.

Seriously....im freaked the **** out by MAF's support of Nintendo lately...its like a long lasting april fool's day joke or an episode of the Twilight Zone.

I also enjoyed using the thumbstrap, and can't believe some people got through M64 with the d-pad. The d-pad works terrible. Only problem with the thumbstrap was it made the 180 sideways flip next to impossible (which is unfortunately my favorite move in Mario 64) but thumbstrap worked well enough to play through the game for all of the added content. I wish Nintendo would make more games that use the thumbstrap to control 3D characters, just not characterrs that need to jump precisely. Something like a 3D Zelda maybe.

Also, as a Capcom fan you should track down Pheonix Wright while the reprint is available, MAF. I have no doubt this game will disappear again

couldnt jump all that well? ... really? ... I was able to get it down pretty accuratly! making jumps with the thumbstrap was one of my favorite things about it .... agreed though, more games need to use it.

couldn't do the 180 side flip jump, which I'm used to using to turn forward momentem into backward momentem when approaching the edge of a platform. Like I say, I thought it worked fine otherwise, and the smooth framerate almost made up for the slightly more difficult controls.

before i got my first DS-bummer, i was looking forward to playing SM64 on the go. oh well, il just use it for the minigames. they sound pretty cool.

when i finally got hands on with my first DS- pfffttt. SM64 controls fine with the Dpad. its no analogue, but seriously, gaffers overreacting total.

Castlevania DS was a fantastic game, that got crapped all over by the ridiculously stupid design decision to make you memorize some symbol then quickly squiggle it out after killing a boss.

I can't tell you how many times I killed a boss then messed up the symbol. What kind of a hairbraned idea was that anyhow. Did anyone find that to be compelling, or even passable gameplay?

Definitely not compelling, obviously tacked on to make use of the touch-screen. But they showed you which symbol you had to draw as you entered the door to face the boss and gave you all the time you need to start it so it didn't break the game or make it much less enjoyable.

ass-rapings should be fun and exciting, not dull and boring, i was swindled - meteos ftl

Have you played it multiplayer? There was a solid month or two where several of my coworkers and I would play four player battles during lunch every day. I think the only DS game we muliplayed more was Mario Kart.

rofl, FlyinJ is dyslexic, the drawing thing occurs at only the boss battles and it takes a second to do -- not to mention the symbols are ridiculously easy to memorize... yeah, he's dyslexic i.e. tarded

I guess the flip jump can be a bit tough to do ... but once you get it down ... its not so bad. Just gotta move it sharply back like you'd do an analog stick ... seriously though, sometimes I preferred the strap to the stick ... weird I know!

Yeah... no... I don't know anyone with a DS and I would never bother to play Meteos, I'm always up for some Tetris however

Agreed. While the symbol drawing is kinda lame, it's such a small portion of the gameplay that it doesn't really detract from the amazingness that is the game itself.

It's a waste

A WASTE
I don't know, you might lose a game cart having them just laying around and end up selling the box and instructions and only find the cart months later in your grandmother's car. :D

BTW the cases cost me $11 CAD + tax + $5 CAD shipping for 15 of them. I should've gotten more since I now have 19 games (I had 9 when I bought the cases). :(

The koopa suit sucks. It kills you dead fast.
But it's fun to kill ghosts with it.

I have them on my shelf in their original boxes. :S

BTW: many people might disagree with me, but despite enjoying Rockman ZX a lot at the moment, I still think NSMB is a far superior game. I`m crazy like that.

Im a mega whore after the zero games, NSMB wont change that ever, but god NSMB rox, the music, the level design, wooo. AND THE SUPER BIG UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What, this is the best idea ever. Anyone know where to get empty cases in the UK?

=/ That thumbstrap scratched my DS phat's touchscreen all up. It was way too weird playing ouendan and hitting a big rough part when drawing a line in the bottom left. They dropped the thumbstrap from the DS lit for a reason, so don't bother.

I found more easy to master the control pad method control for Super Mario DS than the thumbstrap shit. Also, the thumbstrap scratches the screen a lot!

Edit: Strumbtap =/ thumbstrap :lol Need of English training.
