none of the books listed in the OP are reboots...and the image teaser is for the 50th anniversary issue of the book....whats all this talk about DCnU?

If the clusterfuck of this thread is anything to go by, Marvel are making a big mistake renumbering and launching new #1 titles. New readers are confused by this, they think Marvel is doing a DC-style relaunch.

Of course, it's obvious that's not the case if you just read a little into it but that's never stopped anyone before!

I am kind of annoyed if they bring Johnny back so soon, I think the FF as it stands is a great concept that's not been fully explored (much like with Dick Grayson Batman at DC). It's frustrating that the big two are so eager to return to the status quo rather than having the guts to mess around with their books.

So they are going from a .1 to a 1? Xmen 15.1 just came out this week didn't it? So the next issue is going to be Xmen 1?
No, the Point-One issues are just a "jumping on point" for series. Here's a list of all the regular ongoing X-Men books:

Uncanny X-Men = the main, original series; ending at #544 and restarting with a new #1 in the wake of "Schism".
Wolverine and the X-Men = a new series born from the events of "Schism" starting in October.
X-Men Legacy = previously known simply as 'X-Men' aka the Claremont/Lee series from the 90s, and as 'New X-Men' under Grant Morrison in the 00s.
Astonishing X-Men = an ongoing series born from Grant Morrison's 'New X-Men', originally written by Joss Whedon with art by John Cassaday.
X-Men = a year-old ongoing series created about a year ago, written by Victor Gischler; the "Jubilee's a vampire" thing happened here.
Uncanny X-Force = the fourth volume of X-Force; Wolverine and his secret death squad.
X-Factor = Jamie Madrox and his mutant detective agency, by Peter David; returned to the original numbering system a few years back.
New Mutants = the return of the original group, like before they met Cable and became X-Force, with new numbering.
Generation Hope = a year-old ongoing born from the events of "Second Coming" following Hope and her Lights.

Wolverine = the main ongoing starring Logan by Jason Aaron, renumbered about a year ago.
Wolverine: Best There Is = a year-old ongoing by Huston/Ryp that's more graphically violent, in the Avatar Press style.
X-23 = a year-old ongoing starring Wolverine's teenage female clone/daughter, written by Marjorie Liu.
Daken: Dark Wolverine = a year-old ongoing starring Wolverine's deviously evil son, written by Daniel Way.

And, there's probably still a handfull of Deadpool series left out there too.

Shocker. So are they going to count FF #1-11 as F4 #589-599 and then renumber FF to #1?

Not uncommon.

Dont be surprised when DC does this for their #x00 issues after the relaunch. I'm looking at you, Detective Comics #900.

Yeah they already said that we would see AC and DC #1000s in our lifetime. I wonder if they will renumber each series when they get to their own milestones or if they will renumber all of them at the same time.
