This week's releases:
Ant-Man #2
Black Knight #1
Captain America #3
Deadpool #2

Extraordinary X-Men #2
Thor #1
Ms. Marvel #1
New Avengers #3
Uncanny Avengers Annual #1
Uncanny Inhumans #2

Hype for all of these. Really dreading Star-Lord and Spider-Woman though.

Curious about spider-woman but it's also pretty depressing to look at the moment.

Part of me wishes it was ultimate jessica drew instead :/

Ehh meant without the pregnancy and all that.

Honestly I just want to see this costume again. Her black widow one is aight too.

Black Widow one was such a downgrade. It was also a weird mantle for her to pick up considering the other Ultimate Black Widow.

Yea it's pretty strange. At the same time though the name is like spider related so I guess its fineee

It was especially strange, since she was actually the 3rd person to use the Black Widow moniker behind Natasha Romanoff and Monica Chang. And Chang was still alive when Spider-Woman took it for herself.

Mighty Thor #1 was fantastic.

I totally agree. For me it's been the strongest #1 thus far. Those opening panels... amaze.

That said, it's great to have Ms. Marvel back. She really is the Peter Parker of this generation. So darn relatable.

Enjoyed Antman, Ms. Marvel and Sam Cap Wolf. Uncanny Inhumans is basically Black Bolt, you're a idiot. and Spider Woman was a mistake, it's nothing trash.

Mighty Thor #1 was fantastic.
Agreed, I love Aaron's setup here, between Roxxon, the asshole All-Father, and managing to salvage something from Fear Itself should be commended. But more than any of these things, Jane is fantastic. I love how her dilemma is both tragic and interesting, and actually adds a dimension to Thor.

I still wonder about Odinson though...
was that a reference to his death in New Avengers, that it somehow stuck beyond Secret Wars?

I had the same question, although
the book was super vague about it and made it seem more like he was in hiding, moreso than dead

Al Ewing explains what Iso-8 is, how the Blue Marvel is connected to the new super substance and what it means for the All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe going forward.

It's pretty impressive we've gone as long as we have without someone trying to shoehorn ISO-8 into the comics.

And now it's based Al Ewing, and the context of it all makes perfect sense and feels natural. Comic books are awesome.

Mighty Thor was fantastic,

Hard to read at the start, and lol @

I know a lot of people freak out about other media influencing the comics (especially the movies), but I love this whole synergy they gave going on, with movies, tv, games and everything else evolving together and borrowing what works from one another. As long as it keeps being done right as it has been, I'm all for it. It's like a big playground.

I keep thinking about it. It's so great-he really has an impressive run.

So for me, the top Marvel books are :

Sam Wilson
Vision
Mighty Thor
Ms. Marvel

Did anyone else read the first issue of Star-Lord?
If so is this
a new origin story for Peter Quill Star-Lord
?

Reading Extraordinary X-Men and I love the X-Men, but I'm so past the entire world hating them.

Wish they'd have changed that in ANAD, but they haven't.

Yes and I thought it was good if you ignore the Pre-Bendis and Humphires Guardians.

That's never going to change about the X-Men.

I liked the second issue of Ant-Man more than the first.
Scott's life makes the book a bit depressing though.
Yeah :(

Also, how did the Terrigen Mist spread?

I haven't read the new X-Men issue yet, but unless its a new mist from the time jump it was spread during the Infinity event.

Loved Ms. Marvel. The art was especially brilliant, so much details on that frog.

Is it common to have two different artists in a single issue?

New Avengers was a bit better this week, but they *really* need to get Squirrel Girl out of that book nowish.

I'm way late to the party, but I finally read Vision #1 and... wow. Goddamn is that a good book. King is brilliant, some legitimately beautiful prose and a great sense of dread and "wrong-ness" throughout the whole book. By far my favorite ANAD book so far - it's not even close.

I also really liked ANAD Avengers. A bit of a slow start, but I'm confident it'll pick up the pace. The backup feature with Sam and Kamala was the better half, though.

Ultimates, on the other hand, left me lukewarm. It's bigger in scope than Ewing's Mighty Avengers, but I feel like it's missing something. I guess I'm just more of a street level guy. In for now, but...

Sam Cap continues to be great. Misty was the highlight this time.

And Ms. Marvel continues to be perfect - I'll echo the "Peter Parker for the 21st century" sentiment. Miyazawa is a great choice of artist.

Getting out of class early; can't wait to start diving into this week's books. Gonna edit this post with my opinions as I go

Is Loki still young good guy Loki in ANAD?

I thought there was another timeskip?

Ms. Marvel 1 - is solid and action packed.

Extraordinary X-Men is my shit. This is what I need right now as mutants and inhumans have this weird relationship.
What happened to Cyclops?

Star Lord is my shit as well. Loving the whole interacting with the space aspect. LOOOOOL at this dude being a prick early on. We haven't even explored space yet. How does this Star Lord differ from the dude in Guardians of the Galaxy?

I knew Deadpool was full of it with this hero act. I'm telling Cap if I see him.

Are the variant covers going to be released all at once? When does Ultimate End 5/Secret Wars finale come out?

Got all of half way into Star-Lord in Name Only, and I just can't fucking do it. God, I miss Marvel Cosmic. I'd like to be optimistic and pretend that when the modern era of writers who don't care about it leave it could be good again, but it's not like we'll ever get to see anything except for the MCU characterizations anyway.

At least I started here, so the week can only go up.
