The real identity of the modern day Bloody Face is getting openly spoiled on several entertainment websites, as well as the actor/actress confirming it on Twitter.

Fuck. :/

Who is it??? I bet it's gonna be Dylan McDermott!

I don't feel that there is a single "shit" element of this show. It's probably the only show in the history of television that I love unabashedly and with the full fervor of my being.

Ryan Murphy has done an interview about this episode. It has SPOILERS. I've weeded some stuff out.

  • Frances Conroy is doing more episodes for Asylum
  • Lana "has fun" next episode. wtf
  • Next week we see how the devil would decorate a christmas tree
  • Confrontations between Jude and Euince will be contained in the next episode
  • The identity of modern bloody face will be revealed next episode. Confirmed to be
    Dylan McDermott
  • The concept for Season 3 is nailed down, and Lange is very excited about where and how they will film it.
  • They think they'll announce the concept of Season 3 earlier than they did for Asylum. Additionally, no other actors have yet been signed for Season 3.
  • Billy Dean's speech about Asylums in Season 1 was the clue for Season 2. They will include a clue in the final episode of Asylum about where Season 3 will take place.
Another interview with Evan Peters (Kit) also went up which is pretty light on details, just him talking about how he acts and enjoys playing characters.

What about a season set in Western Frontier in the 1800s? I want to see Jessica Lange wearing a coonskin cap. :D

She's excited how they'll film it? Hmmm...makes me think it'll be something really different.

I actually hope that Zachary Quinto, Evan Peters, and Lily Rabe aren't in season 3. I'd be okay with more Lizzie Brochere, James Cromwell, and Sara Paulson though.

The whole season average right now is about ~2.3 million. That's good, right?

I think so, though it might be down a bit from the first season.

I just saw the pilot and I have to say, for a supposed horror series, I found myself laughing quite a bit throughout the episode. Am I doing something wrong?

And what the hell is with all these jump cuts?

Damn, the writers are just getting off on torturing Lana now aren't they? I thought she would slap the shackle on Bloody Face and turn the tables. But good grief, they have her escape and wind up in a car with a suicidal psycho (I knew it was a bad deal when I saw Ethan from Lost) and then right back in the Asylum where her only hope is a demon possessed nun?

Nobody on this show ever catches a beak. Though Sister Jude at least got some good news for a change, I have a feeling the girl's father is on to her and will attempt revenge. Every character is going to end up dead or insane. Falalala lala la.

American Horror Story is a bit like a Haunted House at an amusement park - it's just a little creepy and you may jump when something pops out at you, but you always have a laugh afterwards.

There are lots of jump cuts because, I guess, they feel like it makes the show scarier or something. It doesn't, of course, but it's the established look of the series so I don't think it'll ever improve.

I assume justice does not really exist in the world of AHS.

At least they showed some nice nuns at the start of the episode. I was beginning to think everyone in the AHS universe was an awful shit.

Did anyone else catch Bob from That 70's Show as Kit's lawyer? I recognized the voice right off but he sure looked different.

I don't really consider it good news. Jude became a Nun because of this event, well, it's pretty heavily alluded to at least. I think that, of all things, makes this revelation rather startling and probably throws her whole life out of order.

And, of course, just her appearing makes the father skeptical too.

Juat started watching the latest episode.

The aliens did the hysterectomy, right? Arden's denying it.

Oh God. This is a fucked up rape scene. I mean, all rape is fucked up, but this is diagusting. Poor Lana.

Bob Pinciotti!

What the fuck, Lana, you should have killed this motherfucker.

Things just go from bad to worse for Lana, Jesus.

Oh Judy, gonna start drinking again? Always seeing conspiracies and shit.

Frances Conroy everywhere up in this bitch. She's pretty calm yet creepy. The wings are hilarious though.

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I started watching the series a couple days ago and I think I am hooked. Just finished the last episode and I find the second season so much more entertaining so far. No one gets a break from a constant shit storm here. x.x

Ah, I knew it. Nice to see RM admit that he got the inspiration for Angel of Death from Japanese folklore of Shinigami (God of Death).
No wonder she reminded me of Persona 4's death social link from the first moment I saw her.

So we got:

Aliens
Robot Alien Creatures
Nazis
Satan (or a Hell demon of sorts)
Death
Serial Killers
Amputee Monsters

All we need are:

Vampires
Werewolves
Zombies
Pirates
Ninjas

This season is ridiculous. Some good episodes, but they're trying to do too much and its losing direction/appeal for me.

I really liked Death though.

Yeah I agree. This season is better than season one (although Moira is missed haha). But it could have been even better if it didn't have demons/satan and aliens in it, and instead just focused on the fates of those poor innocent people being locked up in that hellhole with a Dr. Mengele-wannabe doctor - it doesn't need the aliens and demons IMHO.

Didn't really enjoy the last ep, but that final scene with Jude finding out the girl lives...

Fan-tas-tic.

I think I'm falling in love with a 67-year old.

I don't necessarily agree.

I think the idea of Aliens ties in perfectly with this time era, wasn't this really the time when all this kind of stuff was "around" and "out there" in general society? I mean this was a time when things had started to build up and invasion literature was becoming much more prevalent.

With how it's going at the moment though, they sure as hell have a LOT to talk about to close the storyline arc appropriately. I feel like it's the most brushed over part of the series so far.

With regards to Demons, I think they just needed a way to have a villain in there who could act without being noticed as well as a way to dig up these kind of "past lives" that all these people had. I hear about these kinds of things all the time today - Nuns who might do drugs, have abortions and THEN become Nuns. I mean the same kind of thing is happening here with Jude and her drinking / hit and run. How else would we find out about this kind of stuff?

And given the religious context of the asylum and the whole religion vs. science theme that Asylum deals with, I feel like a demon feels appropriate.

The aliens are the best part! Well that and the angel of death.

Yeah I agree with you. The using of Aliens as the scientific monster is also rather appropriate.
I think they will probably start tying things up from the next episode onwards. More dramas should attempt this 12 episode season format. Less fluff.

This season is actually 13 episodes, fyi. The first season was originally supposed to be 13 episodes, but due to their tight production schedule they decided to scrap the thirteenth episode and do a slightly extended twelfth episode instead.

Starting watching this show 2 weeks back, now I'm caught up and waiting on the next eps. Season 1 was ok, good story line with twist and turns, season 2 is fucking awsome. That crazy little murder girl cracks me up.

i was thinking about this and this season pretty much has everything going on in it. Here are some ideas of stuff that hasnt been touched on yet.

Eldritch Horror aka Lovecraftian Horror
Abandoned/Empty City (Silent Hill)
Living Dolls
Indian Burial Grounds
Body Snatcher/The Thing identity paranoia
Flesh Horror aka Cronenberg

All fit in with the idea of American horror (well North American if they go full on Cronenberg lol). Still plenty of fresh horror stuff to draw on.

TheSeks

Blinded by the luminous glory that is David Bowie's physical manifestation.
Frank's death is out of the blue, thought he really did survive her assassination attempt. :(

But :lol at the red flash for that death. Could've done a better way. Like L&O:SVU's scissors to the neck death scene. D:

Also is Sister Jude fucked? I really hope Lana and Kit come to her rescue to where she has a moment of redemption over being a cruel mistress of the ward.
